you mean you want to convert your file system to FAT32 instead of the NT file system? you don't need to format your harddisk... all you need is a partition software... i.e. partition magic, acronis disk manage, and the likes... you can easily convert the file system of your harddisk from FAT32 to NTFS and vice versa without losing any of your files...
make sure you don't have a single file that is around 4gb in size... because a file as big as this, won't fit into the FAT32 file system.
make back-up your files first before you do what they say...paara walay mahayay...
^^^second the motion... back up first might go wrong along the way
anyway thanks, just need to download those software mentioned. But why don't i have the option to format the drive to fat32 from ntfs?the only option is the nfts..and also is it possible to transfer files from mac os to a ntfs formatted hd?cz, i tried that but it won't copy the files though.
as i've said... you don't have to format... instead, choose the option to convert. convert your file system from ntfs to fat32.
just convert no need to format if you want to switch from FAT32 to NTFS file system....
as another measure of security, backup.
tnx for the input..ang problema napud ani kay dko ka download coz hinay au connection..anyways, tnx
When you say format bai kai ma erase jud na ang mga data, but when you say convert it to a different filesystem kai there are a bunch of tools out there that you can download inorder to convert to different file systems, but as always, BACK UP you data. just in case, but its a good practice to always back up. As with transfering files from MAC to ntfs or vice versa, ive done it man thru the network and ok ra man ang files, not corrupted or anything.
It will erase all your file if FORMATED.....
