It's not a must to cover your set up, it's a matter of choice and convenience. You decide.

Fish tanks should be covered. sa imo growbed system, mas maau dili siya direct sa init, i mean init ug light is different. pwede ra nimo coveran para dili ka direct ang init sa imo gravel or PVC pero be sure nga ang full light sa sun maka penetrate gihapon sa imo plants. Temperature within your system must not go beyond 25-30 degree Celsius or else your bacterial growth will suffer.
