One year ago...
Gamers all over the world was waiting for this day. For it was surely a day to remember as it was the release of a game that took 12 years dating back to the day that its predecessor was made. Surely lucky ones had a taste of that game before it was commercially released during the beta days. But still, having it in your own home and playing with fellow gamers was the most exciting part.
Nevertheless, people waited for the announcement of when will it be released commercially for everyone to have a piece of the action. it was officially announced at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational 2007 in Seoul, Korea by Blizzard's representative, Mike Morhaine. He brought good news to all who attended the event for he unraveled the release of the most awaited game for players not just in Korea but all over the world.
Present time...
Only one year has passed since its release, and yet it had received tremendous acceptance and massive achievements considering that one year is not a long period of duration when talking about a game. It has been embraced by all e-sport advocates all over the world not to mention RTS (Real-Time Strategy) players, fans and supporters.

So much development in general on a span of only one year. Imagine what more it can give us in 2-3 years time and in the far future.
Of course, the community had grown as well. From a mere 100+ members, now we have reached 350+ not to mention those on other places and probably more than that we know of today. Who knows? Also, more local clans were established as the time goes by proving that Pinoy SC2 gamers are not a force to be reckoned with.

"In order to play Starcraft 2 at its finest, you must have the intelligence of a general and the dexterity of a musician."
"It is like playing chess in warp speed."
Sounds hard? Not really if you focus some of your time and effort. Just like in any other thing. There are some websites and forums or even facebook groups that new players can join and find some information about the game: from simple how-to-do's to really in-depth analysis of the game. Help is always around. You can just ask someone or go to a website where you can watch a replay analysis, replay commentary or just VoD's (Video on Demand) of matches you like.

As usual, we don't want to be left behind. Mineski has integrated and come up with a learning program for gamers who wants to learn not just on how to play the basics but to further enhance their knowledge about their particular game. The best part of it is learning it straight from the pro-gamers of Mineski themselves as they take on the roles of the professors. For one month, you will be under the supervision of the professors as they teach you on how to further improve your skills and teach you a thing or two of what they also do. It's like "tips and tricks" on a much more interactive level.
Its quite a handful if you come to think of it. But hey, it has been only a year since. This is just the beginning. We still have a long way ahead of us. Who knows what the future brings for Starcraft 2. and what the developers have up on their hats, sleeves and pockets. We will just have to wait and see.
