Watching people play horror games helped me get over my fear of horror films

I'm one of the biggest scardy cats in the whole world!

But lately, i've found videos on youtube which are of players who play horror games and record their voices while at it. They call these "Let's play"s.. since the title of the videos would usually be : "Let's play [title of game]".

The first horror game i watched was 'Amnesia; the dark decent', youtube poster namedMangaminx.

For those who are whooses and scardy cats like me, it's actually fun to watch these games. Since someone else is playing it, you don't have to go through the panic of dropping the mouse/controller. And since you can hear the player talk nonsense and get scared WITH you, you don't feel as scared and end up laughing while at it. hahah


Just sharing my new found pass time to those who like horror games or who are scared of them

I always watch let's plays on Youtube, pero usahay maglagot ko anang mga horror ang duwaon kay either malingaw ko or sapoton ko haha.

Amnesia is really scary IMO btw, tried playing it @ 2AM-4AM, duka na kaayo ko pero pag morning nalang gyud ko natulog haha.

all the praise! I don't think i have the guts to play that game even if there was day light. hahaha. The sounds and effects are just so nerve racking. I just survived through the Let's play thanks to the player, mangaminx, coz she's goofy and gets scared with me. So we end up screaming together. ahaha.

After that, ive been addicted to watching her horror Let's play's. I've watched Penumbra and Dead Space. Not as scary as Amnesia but i guess that's coz Amnesia cured my easily-scardy-cat heart. hahaha..

im still a scardy cat, but not as bad as before. I couldn't even play silent hill on my own before. Id freak out and throw the controller at my brother. hahaah

I didn't find Penumbra that scary, pero wala nuon nako gipadayon ug duwa kay weird iyang controls. Same ra ang makers sa Penumbra and Amnesia btw

Pero yeah, Amnesia grabe, from sights to sounds, ahak.

Amnesia never scared me... But S.T.A.L.K.E.R. at night with headphones and no lighting other than the monitor... now that's scary.

Especially with mods where if its nighttime where you are its night in the Zone... Its really immersive (and scary)

But i havent tried Fatal frame yet. Well... i tried part one.. about 5 mins of it and i freaked out too much. It's just like those movies like "the grudge", and im terrified of that! It's nothing but a pale girl in the dark right? But i cant stand it. hahaha..

im looking for people to watch fatal frame with me so that i dont get traumatized alone. ;D

theres this let's play of a guy playing fatal frame called "so scared that he ran out of the room".
i think i'll end up like him.
