using the road is a choice. there are other roads to use if one does not want to pay. i think this is good, if we wait for the government, with its limited resources, dugay ang progress. pwede man sad ni i-BOT (build, operate, transfer).

same thing makabayad ra gihapon ta and for sure majority of motorists ara nasad mangagi.. its like giving choices at the same time giving the answer. di raman kana ang maka trigger ug progress.
sa manila, sa kalapad ug kadaghan sa ilang roads mao ra gihapon nanaghan sad ang sakyanan = traffic gihapon.

Even first world countries do that.
The income will not only be limited to toll fee.
Another possible income would be advertising,
and lease for stores in truck stops.

And also advantage na kung labi na sa emergency.
Labi na kung naa pasyente nga kailangan dad.on sa city nya gikan pa probinsiya.
Bisan pa mag wangwang ka kung puno ang karsada malangay jud ka.

Suwayi ug biyahe using the existing road diba mabuang ka unsa ka dugay.

sir, road connections which gives better logistics is progress. as per previous post, you can CHOOSE not to use the road. same ra gud kung moadto ka balamban, pwede man ka sa old existing roads or sa transcentral hi-way moagi. kani lang kay naay bayad kay syempre kung way bayad walay returns ang dako na investment. syempre kung naay better road and ka afford ka sa toll, it's only logical that you would use that road. it's business.

if you think traffic ang NCR karon, imagina lang kung walay nlex og slex.

Ngano ni-fail man to ang feasibility study on the trans-axial hi-way conducted by Capitol? And now a private company is conducting a feasibility study on the same project and will propose to build and operate it? Hmmm... ka-kwarta na pod unya si lola ani.

luzon covers many provinces and regions and nag centralize sa m. manila so daghan jud ang mga sakyanan ngara pero ngari sa ato? if you travel south or north karon, dili siya traffic, ma traffic ra tingali ug naay pista or whatever sa isa ka lugar pero normally dili.
and our roads in the south is generally in good shape (if you look at the walls and houses sa san fernando naa nay plans to widen the rrow) so why need such highway? dili man gani ka ma traffic ngara. if mu ana ka nga traffic ara ra sa minglanilla sugod, dayun sa talisay diretso cebu, but theres srp already as an alternative.

mangita jud tag rason nga makabayad nasad ta ug dugang para sa toll fee nga naa man untay libre ra.
if ang first world countries do that then maka conclude na diay ta nga maayu nana para nato?

what I mean is ang ilang e invest ana kay ila pana e invest sa BRT nga plan sa city. not a highway nga pwede raman wala. way traffic kaayu sa rural parts na sa cebu mahimo ranag way unod.
if you are referring to the congestion pag abot na sa city its because arterial roads diri sa ato walay parallel nga arterial which can be an alternative route (if you want example ang pinaka nindot nga parallel raod anang ayala-banilad route is the hernan cortes but sadly gamay ra kaayu siya, and it is debated by the urban planners pa gani na maka solve sa traffic congestion sa talamban road).
Un ana raman sad ang mahitabo. Pero imbis libre ra kay paid access nalang nuon. its just a basic ideology in urban planning that our government didnt know that another businessman saw as another source of income.
