VERY CONFUSING
2. e set ang ip sa imong pc IP 192.168.1.33 next subnet 255.255.255.0 then OK
Why do you need to assign a static IP address on your PC when your CDR King router supposed to give an IP address to your PC?
5. wan connection type disable
Why do you need to disable the WAN Connection Type?
6. network setup change the router ip 192.168.1.2, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.1.1
Why do you need to change the router IP address?
7. network address server settings DHCP disable
Why do you need to disable the DHCP, your disabling the NAT of the router?
Lets start to basic.
1. When you first acquire your PLDT Internet service you were given either a Zyxel or SE (Speedstream) modem. By default the modem is set to MODEM only it means ROUTER mode is disabled. So if you do the IPCONFIG you can see your PUBLIC IP address (ex. 112.222.333.22). If you connect your PC directly to you modem you should be able to browse a website. No need to create a dialer on your browser, so it means PLDT (residential) configuration is using a DHCP in short Dynamic.
2. Now you bought a CDR King wireless router and you want to configure it to work with your PLDT modem. By default CDR King router IP address is 192.168.1.1 (my CDR King router has this IP when I do the IPCONFIG) and WAN Connection type of the router by default is set to AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION - DHCP.
3. This is the easiest part of configuring your PLDT modem on your CDR King router. Step by step for you TS.
- Make sure modem (Zyxel) and router (CDR King) is ON.
- Connect an ethernet cable to the ethernet port of your modem (Zyxel), other end of the ethernet cable should be connected to the Internet port of your router (CDR King).
- Connect an ethernet cable to LAN 1 on your router (CDR King), other end of the ethernet cable should be connected to your ethernet port of you PC.
- Open up a web browser (IE, Mozilla, Opera etc.,) whatever you prefer. On the address bar type www.istorya.net and you should be able to browse your favorite forum.
- No need to change IP address, no need to disable the DHCP server, no hassle.
my gawd...
To be able to access the router, naa mana sa imong manual, gusto ka screen shot pa sa manual?2. e set ang ip sa imong pc IP 192.168.1.33 next subnet 255.255.255.0 then OK
Why do you need to assign a static IP address on your PC when your CDR King router supposed to give an IP address to your PC?
Spoiler!
Why do you need to disable the WAN Connection Type?
you want to set the wan and call the agent to ask for your account and pass?
diba ang default ip sa router is 192.168.1.1? unsay default sa imong PLDT/Globe router? go figure it out.6. network setup change the router ip 192.168.1.2, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.1.1
Why do you need to change the router IP address?
Why do you need to disable the DHCP, your disabling the NAT of the router?
All you need to do is to do an IPCONFIG para kahibaw ka sa Default IP niya. See SS below. To be able to access the router, naa mana sa imong manual, gusto ka screen shot pa sa manual?
you want to set the wan and call the agent to ask for your account and pass?
Sir ang residential nga account sa PLDT wala man username ug password.PLDT is using Dynamic, dili siya PPPoE sir nga mangayo ug username ug password.
Sir like I said ang modem sa PLDT by default naka modem mode lang siya. Wala raba ta ga hisgot ug Globe nga modem/router.diba ang default ip sa router is 192.168.1.1? unsay default sa imong PLDT/Globe router? go figure it out.
Gigama man gyud na siya for Internet sharing at the same time with firewall ug special features pa gyud.
mga migo ayaw namu pag lalis... pariha mu mga maayo... its jutst lahi lahi inyong style... thank you so much for the help.... ako nani e try karun dayun.
hala mga migo... naa koy fault pud... By the way ang gusto man gud unta nako. Ang reason jud nganu gusto nako e configure ang cdr-king router with my pldt para maka connect akong pc sa internet in the same time ang laptop pud nako. dili lang ang pc ra.
Na try na nako nga e connect ang cable from pldt modem to cdr-king router(wan) then another cable from cdr-king (lan) to pc/laptop.
Please help me..
Try ug reset to default ang settings sa imo router, then change the ip address sa imo router like 192.168.1.99. Kasuway na ko ani. HTH.
@b1 huck - ang IP na sa modem and router nimo nag pariha, change one of them like what is posted above.
maka access raka sa modem and router using its default access id. like 192.168.1.1 or whatever the default is, READ THE MANUAL.
