    Default Audiophile Thread!

Can't seem to find a particular thread for audiophiles (or anyone who is into headphones, etc.) so I decided to create one, I delete lang mga mods if naa na. I currently have Koss Portapros coupled with a fiio e5 (will be buying e7 later on). These headphones are just awesome for their price range. I just love the bass which is enough to not overpower the mids and highs. The "middle bass boost setting" technique on the e5 pushes the mids and highs on these cans a notch which gives these cans a brighter sound. Soundstage is also very very good, which is one thing I like about these phones and also the fact that it is much more bassy but not muddy. I'm gonna pair these babies with a Sansa Clip+. Also planning to buy either the ATH M50 or Sony MDR XB700, wa pa ko ka decide if asa sa duha sad but will do in the future.

Post sad mo mga istoryans sa inyo mga cans dre ug setup! And perhaps discuss2x para maka share ug tips, mods, or anything related.

    naay diay ni nga thread

dugay nko ani nga bisyo but ni quit ko. sakit kaau sa bulsa oi hehehe...

my very first setup was an Audio Technica A700 amplified by a Gilmore Lite.
sold my A700 to buy a Grado SR325i

Grado($300), Gilmore Lite($300)... see what i mean? sakit sa bulsa LOL.

then later i sold my Gilmore Lite coz i wanted to try Tube Amps. so i got a Little Dot II, my first and only tube amp.

forgot how much i paid for the LDII, it was a group buy, so maybe medyo barato.
the sound from my SR325i being driven by LDII was eargasmic. the sr325i is known for being a bright can, pero pag gamit nko sa LDII, na tame iya pagka bright. since im more into string instruments, female vocals, and live performances, lami kaau ug tingog ang Grado. if you close your eyes, its like being in the front row listening to the band perform . i forgot diay, ako source was my PC with a Chaintech AV 710 soundcard. if you are familiar with it, its a decent source kung properly setup. most of my music are lossless(FLAC), nya using Foobar as my player.

sadly i sold my setup. first to go was my LDII. my grado was then driven by my portable amp made by Electric Avenues' Portable Amp V2.

AKG Portable cans(forgot the model). if you are a basshead, then these cans are perfect for you.

    with Sony MDR EX71 IEM's

then later sold the DELL mp3 player. replaced by IPOD 80G classic video mp3 player.

bought a Line out cable($60) for it.

whoa! taasa na sa ako na type oi... well to make a long story short, i sold most of my gear na.
at present, im only using my SENN HD201($19) for my PC. pero its been recabled($30 LOL), problema lang kay pag recable, ni microphonic hinuon ang cans. pero ok ra gihapon, pang pc ra man sad.
