^^^ op cors! kaya kaayo, the city can even develop 300 hectares of land out of nowhere kana na nuong 6.5 hectares ra!

and besides, in cebu, money is spent more on infrastructures and human resource training and product developments. but im not saying there are no effort on the side of the city government when it comes to environmental concerns, im saying that these concerns (like developing parks, regreening efforts) are initiated mostly by private institutions WITH the help of the city and provincial government, its a partnership... a synergy. and that makes cebu tick! its money well spent because in the end, through development of infrastructures, human resouce training and product development. employment is generated. money is infused through wages, spending increases (and hopefully, savings) economy becomes dynamic and more money is generated.. which brings us back to a bigger support for these private institutions who are initiating these enviromental and nature concerns. its like hitting two birds with one stone.

Cebu may have scored low in the recent survey for best cities in the Philippines but let these pics speak for itself. Due to a very fast development, the present infrastructure can no longer serve the present state of Cebu City. Nonetheless, Cebu can pull off anything for improvement and I'm sure, CEBU can do it!

the new CEBU PARKLANE INTERNATIONAL HOTEL (left side) which had
their soft-opening just recently. On the right side is the classy PAG-IBIG
    Towers

This hotel is built beside SM City Cebu but not operational yet. Supposedly,
this is the Sheraton Hotel but SM Holdings bigwigs is currently looking for another
international hotel chain to manage this property. This hotel is due to open
coinciding with the expansion of SM Cebu, called "The Northwing" which will
resemble the SM Mall of Asia. In June 2007, SM Cebu will be the 4th
largest mall of SM Mall group and with the 2nd biggest entertainment area.
By now, it is called SM CITY SOUTHWING and SM CITY NORTHWING

the good old Robinsons Mall (with CEBU MIDTOWN Hotel on top - not shown)

the aerial view of PLANTATION BAY RESORT & SPA in Mactan, Cebu

the CLUB ULTIMA (left) and METROBANK (right) Visayas & Mindanao Headquarters.
The unfinished building (with the crane) will house the Crown Regency Hotel to be
36 storeys high and it will be the tallest building outside Metro Manila in mid-2007.

the constant changing skyline of Cebu City. By late 2007 to 2008,
another 5 to 6 highrise buildings (constructions on-going) will again change the
    skyline of Cebu City

going to the countryside, you can see this nice boarwalk in the town of
Madridejos....few hours away from Cebu City

the ever picturesque CEBU CITY WATERFRONT HOTEL & CASINO (day-frontview and
    night-sideview)

the UNITED NATIONS AVENUE in Mandaue City going to Marcelo Fernan Bridge

the WEST INDUSTRIAL PARK in Balamban, Cebu (Tsuneishi Shipyard of the Aboitiz's)
