kung di ka ka-afford sa pagkakaron, pag tigum. kung determined ka sa imung plano, barogi. i started not believing what my mom said can do kung mag start ka ug likay sa temptations like palit2x latte, junk burgers, bending machine foods/drinks (which is barato kun magbutang ka ug pack na soda sa sakyanan or palit ka chi-chirya sa foodmax, walmart, savemart, etc), etc. but if you'll add up the savings you get by doing such simple things, you'll end up saving your money. its actually a trade-off between sa imu nga PLANS ug sudden WANTS. patience ra kinahanglan. but kung ma-kontento raka mag trabaho & gasto2x, then as what i have said, ITS YOUR CHOICE

I'm sorry man but I think this is pure fiction. Can't blame me for thinking so. First off... let's all agree that fastfood income is just beer/cigarette/gas money. Let's not count that part. Then - 64k after tax for a Restaurant Supervisor/Manager is pretty unrealistic unless it's a high end place. Was your dad's place high end? was it always packed? Who was your chef?

I'm arguing that fact because a friend of mine who manages a mid-range Japanese Buffet place (which is always... always packed during lunch and dinner) is merely taking home roughly 35k after tax.

Regardless.. even if you're taking home 30k clean (I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here) and not having any expenses, it will take you 10 years to save 300k. Now, let's assume that you were a normal young adult. Young adults need extra $$ every now and then regardless of how much you argue about it. You need $$ for your wants... the clothes, the partying, dates, CD's, gadgets, video games, etc.. those will still come out of your savings. You might argue about it but those expenses will take close to half of the money you earn. Especially when you don't have any responsibilities to attend to. SO - for the sake of argument, let's say you managed to take in 20k/year while living under the parents house. 300k is still way up there now, is it?

For those who can afford the things they want. Cool. If a person has 4 PC's, 2 laptops, all the video game consoles, etc... - hey, if he can afford it without bypassing a meal or two, cool. If he wants to have over a dozen tennis shoes - There's nothing wrong with that, as long as his family is not skipping meals for the sake of having a new Nike Zoom Vapor 6 in his closet. If he can have 4 vehicles bisag duha ra sila ang mo drive, nothing wrong with that either. Basta lang nga igka human ug palit sa mga extra, di magka gidlay ang budget.

part i love best? is whenever i brought this up to people, no one believes it, AND THAT ALONE MAKES ME SO PROUD sa ako na-accomplished..LISUD I-TUO noh? kay LISUD HIMUON..that was a challenge for me too but credit to my parents again, sila man obsessed kaayu magtigum mi sa ako sis & supportive kaayu sila to the point ila bayaran tanan bills namu..

& yeah, hi-end resto namu, makes money u wouldnt wanna believe nasad..go and check it out if maka adto ka sa bay area, ill gladly send you some free coupons..& what would you expect, sweldo-an ko ug 3000/month sa akong amahan? hehehe mura diay manager sa jollibee dri LoL di nlang ko mutrabaho kay tag 1k naman sila daan sa akong inahan nig hatag nila allowance namu monthly..anyways, so much about this, i didnt really need to explain myself to people like you guys (mu-oppose kay ga-generalize ko when infact, labaw sad diay ka ga-generalize LoL next time, make sure to compare a certain person with a same same person too or else youll end up like ga-comparar ug top of the line MERCEDES vs. COROLLA, or iphone into 5110, or worst kung ako ug imung friend nga wa gani ka kahibaw sa akong situation, MAS FICTION pana paminawon hehehe)..

but thanks sa effort though LoL

    -END OF STORY

Just wondering.... what's the name of the place? Who's the head chef? High end places usually have chefs that holds some recognition and stature. I assume that you won't have any problem disclosing such info since that's free advertising.
    ----

Again - I still find your story fictional and very inconsistent.

A while ago, you stated that you worked at Mickey D's... then now you're saying that each of your parents are giving you 1k/month for allowance. Tell me, why did you even bother working at Mickey D's anyways? Why did you work for tips after the stint in Mickey D's?

You may have your reasons.. you know what, don't bother explaining them to me `cause you're not really obligated to.
    --

By the way... I wasn't generalizing.. I was comparing you with my friend who works at the same industry. And as far as I know.. no matter if you're related to the owner or you're just an ordinary employee, the establishment would never pay you over-the-top wages that could offset the books.
    -----------

Anyhow - again, you don't have to explain yourself. Let's just say that you're holding on to your statements and I remain skeptical about it. Copacetic?

haayyysssss....bilib gyud ko aning kalibutan! naa gyud pips weder americano by birth or naturalized pero YONIP lng gyud gihapon og dugo. dugong bughaw jud og sa CDC level pa for pandemic spread ang intensity!

unsa nalang kaha kung mu linya sila sa Richest people on earth no? grabe gyud siguro ka kusog ang sibya!

peace...mau mo wa mo ga recession!

  10. #1310
Pero bisan baya ang mga high-end restaurants, igo gihapon sa recession. Daghan establishments diri sa amo nanirado or nagka gidlay.. from diners to top shelf places. Ang diner tawn sa among tungod nga paborito sa akong mga anak ilang pancakes, nanirado lag kalit.

Oh well .... I hope everyone's taking advantage of this "fake" rebound we're having right now.
