rights na sa HR na modawat or dili sa usa ka applicant and rights sad nila dili mo sulti the reason ngano wala ka na hire. even if topnotcher ka sa exam ug interview it doesn't mean hired na ka. daghan reasons ngano wala ka na hire example wala mo agree sa sweldo imo gi ask, attitude problem, or naay na discover ang HR sa imo previous employee like ni awol ka, sige ka late, sumpaki sa supervisor, etc.etc.

if wala ka madawat sa usa company. at least naa kay experience sa exams and interviews na prepare nimo kung mo apply ka sa lain company.

when the HR says " We Will call You." Sometimes that is too say ,you did not pass or in a 50/50 status.

Its very unprofessional if they refuse to tell you why you were not selected. I hope this is not my the company I work for.

yes you have the right to know. pro its better to leave it as is. you said that the HR has slight inclination towards your application but come to think of it you are not the only one who applied for that position. you may did well during the interviews but i think someone did better than you. so in ana lng na. wa ka sayup pro naay mas maau pa sa ginterview nga dungan nimu.

Well the way I understand your sentiments TS the HR has made an impression on you that at her level you are well qualified, have passed the screening and that you were among her few choices for endorsement to bigger bosses' further evaluation. Now the anxiety of having to wait for her supposedly promise to call you back never came.

Now you are asking if it was right that you have made that follow-up call from her I would say YES. All applicants have the right to know what their status are in the job that they are applying especially when it has been made understood that they are qualified for the job and their credentials will be further reviewed by the bigger bosses. It's just but ethical and professional for the HR personnel to do such an update to those selected applicants. The HR must also remember that like her/him she/he too, as part of the working class, was once an applicant too and I'm sure she/he woudn't want to wait in vain.

TS, don't tarry too long on this. You've got to get your ass up and continue seeking for a job that's meant for you. If they haven't hired you and didn't even bother to inform you ahead, then I don't think its worth trying for them. Now move on coz there's no other way but forward.

Fortunately in my case most of those companies I applied would give me an update of my application status either hired or not thru either text, email or a phone call. I have only made a few applications though
