Default Investing in the Philippine Stock Market

There's a different thread about trading in the stock market so I think ok ra pud siguro nga maghimo ta ug thread about investing in the stock market. This thread is intended for those who are holding or those who are planning to invest in the stock market, long term hold ang tirada.

I just opened an account last December 20 on Citisec and until now, naghuwat pa ko nga maclear ang check. Well, anyway, while waiting, I'm keeping an eye on several companies. I had SMC and SM on my list and medyo nasayangan ko sa time nga hinuwat kay pwerte ang saka sa SMC ug SM. Hard lesson learned: I will go for bank to bank transfer or hand over cash directly to Citisec (kung makaadto sa Manila) rather than issuing a check. Time is money.

While waiting, nagduwa ko ug Virtual Tycoon and in a month of playing, nabalikan ko ug 15%. Playing the game made me understand how investing and trading is done and a little about understanding the market.

Well, anyway, for those who are new in the stock market and who are interested in venturing into the stock market, investing is another good option other than trading. Kung kinsa to ang mga naghold diha, tapok ta diri.

May we all have a very prosperous 2011 ahead!

Paspasi na bro kay basin mosaka na tanan next year.hehe.

Nindot ang SMC for next year. SMC increased their stake in Petron ug naa sila expansion sa Mindanao.

About JFC, after sa Caffee Ti-Amo nila nga venture, wala koy news nahagilap about Jollibee. Anyway, expect a lot of Caffee Ti-Amo branches rising up by 2011.

Mao ba, dili diay puwede more than 1000 shares. Public investor ka? Unsa stock broker nimo? If you're Private investor sa San Mig, maybe naa sila rules ana. Ganahan ka public investor sa San Mig, open nalang account sa mga stock broker like Citiseconline aron ara nalang ka maka buy more shares sa San Mig. IMO lang ni nako.

Just got a reply from Citisec's CRO that the check that we issued might take 7 to 10 days to clear since it was a provincial check. I'm crossing my fingers nga masulod na unta to.
