sun life

is a Unit trust investment fund(UTIF) They invest your money in stocks, bonds, time deposit.

so every year they tally it up how much did the investment earn.

so if the investment was good and earned 20% after 1 year

then you get 15%. 5% goes to sun life as commission.

well all investments involve risks....

if you buy gas today at 38 pesos/liter

then tomorrow it goes down to 35 pesos/liter

then you lost 3 pesos a liter.

that is risk.

Some Investment funds were negative (meaning they lost money)

There was even a thread which criticize Banco de Oro because they lost money when they bought investment funds from the said bank

so, dili diay ni consistent nga moganansya.

i know somebody who is planning to keep some money. but the bank only give around 4-5%.

is there somebody here from sunlife and can give the past few years interests they manage to give to their clients?
