Is it fair that the Catholic Church should be exempted from paying taxes?

They make money. This church is obviously run like a business, I do not understand why the separation of church and state exempts them from paying taxes!

Im a catholic and I feel the Catholic church is more corrupt than the previous government of Gloria Arroyo. Sige ug panaway sa mga immoral unya ang ilang mga pari na immoral tabunan unya pabaksyonon lang or e agi lang sa limot limot. Naka dungog namo ug Pari na gisilutan nila kay naghikap ug nag binastos, or pari nasakpan na naa diay asawa unya naa anak, pari na namatay sa motel/hotel kay nag****** ug nang abang ug babae, or pari nasakpan na nagbinayot or bayot gyud...

Ang tubag WALA! sa kadaghan ng gi amot sa mga taw, binilyon kung e account, kung subject to tax ang amot sa mga taw dako nig matabang sa goberno. Kung mo ingon sila na corrupt ng goberno basin kawaton ra, sila sad bitaw mas grabe pa...

So Tax sa simbahan ipatuman!

here's my thing: if you don't pay taxes, you don't have the right to criticize or influence any decision-making for the country. pay taxes and you can start blabbing, but until that day comes, the Catholic Church can shut their pie-hole.

The reason why our country is becoming much poorer is that the church is not paying taxes and yet they earn the greatest than most businesses here...they have brainwashed the people to give out their hard earned money, all for the greater glory of god, and then what? they haven't helped at all...they should pay bigger taxes in order for our country to benefit from all their money collected from people....they're filthy rich for crying out loud...
