Na Hala I-spoon feed tika...
China-man migrates to the philippines & becomes a Filipino Citizen thus called Filipino-Chinese or "Chinese-Flip." (in slang).
China-man now a Filipino Citizen met a China-Woman immigrant turn Filipino Citizen, Got Married & have children. China-mans Business flourish, employs filipinos(flip) w/ lower wages thus turning china-man now Filipino citizen - a Rich Guy.
One of the children of Flip-China man falls in love w/ a pure blooded Flip man. Flip-China man against it & tells the daughter/son....you must marry Chinese not Flip!
Now do you understand?!? Now tell me does that make the "Flip-China Man" Racist?!?
I agree.. Wala koy question sa patakaran sa hospital. Welfare sa pasyente ilahang gi consider ani nga workplace rule, and not to discriminate any foreign speaking employees.
And yeah rude ng mag tinagalog while in front or around non-filipinos. Bahalag nosebleed na, mag english lang gyud unta bahalag mexicano, russian, indian etc pa ng mga tao diha, assuming they too speak & understand english.
As for the sanction, it was an overkill.
tsk tsk tsk.... second class or even 3rd class citizens man gud tah in the land of milk and honey ... or milk nalang bah....no more honey
luoya ani oi.. to think at their lunch break pa gyud..
Err.... That is actually a discriminatory statement you just made. As for the story itself, I think termination was very harsh. However it is not apparent from the article whether the hospital had a zero toleration policy regarding such matters. If so Spanish speakers would have received the same treatment had they broken this rule at the workplace.
I believe language is a highly contentious issue in the states right now and I wouldn't be surprised if such strict policies were born out of fear of patient litigation in the event of communication errors. Additionally is anybody who works in an accident & emergency dept ever truly on their break?
atay... aw...kiha oi kay "racial descrimination" kaau. Ug besides that was their BREAK! mn kaha, so wa cla paki kng maglolo mn or unsa iya buhaton...
