and they have the balls to call america "the land of the free"? shame on them! (hospital admin)

whether its written in the contract or not and was signed by the nurses, it still constitutes a basic violation on the legal rights of the workers because language is not bound by the quality of work the nurse gives.

if the hospital administration's defense would be to protect patients from future discrimination and backbiting through language barrier, then it still is not justifiable. after all, there have also been personnel from their HRD who are Filipinos for which they can correspond if ever incidence like it happens.

nakasuway dyud mi ani. di nuun to per contract amo but a memorandum from the nurse administrator na bawal ang "gay language" sa workplace kay daw magamit sa panglibak labi na sa senior nurses. at some point at that time ma guilty sad baya mi although unintentional usahay ba labi na gamiton as lingawlingaw sa co-workers of same age brackets.

point is, whether the nurses agreed by signing the contract with the rule written in it, it is still not justifiable enough for a harsh sanction of termination of job

sa ako lang sad, a contract is a contract. its an understanding of two parties. if it is stated in the contract, then duly signed, meaning its agreeable to both parties. if she signed their termination will be the punishment of such violation, then termination it is. ang prob man gud, late na mocry foul. if its deemed racial violation, he or she should not signed it in the first place and look for other hospital who he or she thinks nga dili magdiscriminate. wa man pud guro siya gipugos, or at gun point pag sign sa contract. mao na careful jud sa pag sign of contract.

Four African nurses fired from Cebu hospital after refusing to speak English.

I wonder what those crying racism would make of the above scenario were it true?

  6. #106
This should be the reason for the Philippines to impose English only official language.
