is core i3 530 good for mid gaming and multimedia?

i found a core i3 530 being sold at pc express in a very reasonable price. around 5k plus
my question is. is it good? if not what proc would you suggest kanang same price lang sa i3.
and has any1 tried building a pc out of this?
what mobo would you suggest kanang d kaayo mahal mga below 4k lang na mobo.

It is good. Can be OCd to 4GHz level without sweat. Can perform as well as Q66xx and Q95xx in games.

Mobos start at around around 5k+. Daghan na sa Manila nag shift to i3 rigs.

If gikan ka sa core 2 quad qxxx series or core 2 duo 8xxx series unya gusto ka ug huge performance leap muna mag upgrade ka to i3 then forget it. Stick to it till you can get an i5. If overclocker ka, then going for i3 isn't bad, as bro anonemus said, dako siya overclockiing potential.
