Default Proposed Cybercrime Act of 2009

HB 6794 - Proposed Cybercrime Act of 2009

Hopefully this gets passed asap, as we don't really have laws that deal specifically with cybercrime. I've believe when this bill is passes it will give teeth to prosecution of computer fraud, spamming.. etc..

is there something wrong with the link?

BTW, does this cover "cyber bullying" & "online libel? is this in sync with an international law? kay basin kani nga House Bill resulta ra ni sa inom sa golf course clubhouse. that makes it without teeth and/or inutile.

The law in the Philippine is only for POOR people. Ang mga datu, they can buy law. Only in the Philippines.

Shit.. our legislators are really a useless bunch of freaks.. we have so many laws already 90% of which are either poorly implemented or not capable of being imposed at all due to poor funding. Look at our maritime laws - have they stopped passenger ships from sinking and killing passengers needlessly? Look at our anti-corruption laws - we can count on one hand the number of small fish sent to prison because of these.

Why do we need congressmen? We have enough laws. Let's get rid of these idiots and free up some much needed resources for actually building our country. The U.S. has 435 congressmen whereas we have 250 of them, but the U.S. has about 50 times the land mass and 4 times our population! Talk about crass inefficiency! And they get a good deal, as most of their representatives are intelligent, hardworking individuals whereas ours are a bunch of retarded self-entitled freaks who are constantly absent or sleeping in the chambers, with most never having passed or participated in the debates in legislation!

It is infact inline with the Convention on Cybercrime drawn up by the Council of Europe (COE) way back in 2001. Although is a bit wanting on privacy protection... But at least its a start.

Nope. We still have our rights to mock everyone, even the government... for now

Seriously, what is the difference of this proposal to the e-commerce law that we have right now? Basin ga-puno puno lang ning way gamit na bill.

EDIT: Most of the things written in the proposed bill kay naa naman gud sa e-commerce law.
