the upcoming JPEPA (japan philippine economic patnership agreement) will most probably aggravate this situation. actually, bilateral trades are never without a catch especially when we are a party to it, but this one which is supposed to expand trade relations with Japan is something that our government should take with a grain of salt. It entails lowering or even eradicating trade barriers like quota and taxes (free trade accordson agricultural and industrial sector mainly) and exploting philippine labor since japan's population is old...they need more caregivers and medical practitioners. yen is more attractive than measly pesos so you could expect our harried nurses not to lose this opportunity. ang mabilin nlang diri mga albularyo. kaluoy oi.
