Kinatay:Worst Film in the History of the Cannes Film Festival?

I've read some articles regarding controversies in the Cannes Film Festival Best Director Winner Brillante Mendoza. Roger Ebert, a critic, called "Kinatay" the new "worst film in the history of the Cannes Film Festival".
I dont agree with what Mr. Ebert stated. I know that a critic must review a filmmaker's work
but to criticize it, that would be a different story.
I've already watched Kinatay and I must say that it's very coherent naman and the great
part here is not how the victim got killed but how the film ended.

hi, no offense but isnt a critic's job to criticize? it really doesn't matter if it was named worst film in the history of cannes film festival. atleast they got to cannes film festival and that's the good part. there are over several hundred or thousand films who didnt even make it to cannes.

and besides, a critic's own opinion is just as good as mine and everybody else. so i'm sure other people loved that film, but apparently someone didnt and choose to blog about it. not a big deal really.
