Default Christmas spending - splurge or spend less?

Do you plan to spend a lot this coming holiday season or do you plan to spend less and prioritize other financial concerns going into the new year?

it has always been my promise that everytime I receive my Christmas bonus/13th month pay, I'll splurge it on gifts for my family, no matter how much the cost coz I feel happy when I get to be "galante" with them kay love gud nako sila.. then a portion of my salary, igo jud na for savings.

It would not hurt to be very conservative about finances during Xmas.

You can save a lot of money by buying lesser (and reasonably priced) gifts, and then giving them to your family, a few dear relatives and the closest of your friends.

You can save a lot by having small dinner celebrations instead of having a big party. Just how much did caterers or food sellers charge you last December?

Think about it. With the money you save from cost-cutting this Xmas, you can handle your priorities better.
