    Default Macbook/Pro Thread...


    lets dedicate this thread to Macbook and Macbook Pro topics

    who here is using one? any comments? tips/advices?

    anyways, i notice that my macbook heats up pretty bad
    cant use it on my lap for extended periods...does anyone else have this problem? any solution?

    I've heard about this issue with Macbooks all over the interwebs(disclaimer: i don't own a Macbook, wish i did though )
    It had something to do with the sloppy application of thermal grease on the CPU. If you don't mind losing your warranty, you can always do the reapplication of thermal grease yourself.. however, if you don't want to risk it, you can try referring to Apple support or getting it back to your dealer.

    I'm not too confident from getting any real help with Apple themselves either, since AFAIK, they haven't been too responsive to this problem at all.

    some apple fanatics argue why use it on ur lap, its not a laptop daw, its a NOTEBOOK COMPUTER...hahaha!

    btw, random shutdown is caused by a defective heatsink daw...it will be replaced by apple for free...
