we don't need more rookies. we need solid role players. the glue guys. we need a consistent shooter like a kyle korver and we need a defensive specialist on the wing that can shoot threes like a corey brewer or a trevor ariza heck houston has them.

The FO saw what I saw and they got a "3 and D" in Anthony Brown. I hope he pans out to be one.

Regarding Russell i said this a while ago before the draft, he will be a bust. He is too slow, is not aggressive going to the basket, even if he does not have excellent athleticism at least he will be crafty enough ala steve nash to penetrate consistently but no, he has a slow and awkward shooting form, and too slow on defense. Tonight's his 3rd game and although it's summer league I haven't seen glimpses of him being a special player. You don't have to doninate a game just show me flashes what makes your skills unique. Dso far he hasn't shown me what I already knew months ago he is a black Grieviez Vasquez. Nothing special worthy of a no.2 pick just a solid back-up PG.

I might have said i don't care about athleticism but that only holds true to big men. Guards at least have to be fast not ultra fast but at least Stephen Curry fast with craftiness.

I don't want to over react or something but Russell hasn't shown anything that his worthy of the pick or even a 1st round pick.
In my own option lng ha ang i hope i'm totally wrong about it. but so far in the 3 summer league games played by Russel , his been outplayed by other PG in the draft, i didn't see those strong qualities that make him a top 3 pick or even a top 20 pick . also this is summer league and he can't even show some of his strength so what more if this is the actual season. i know it's to early and this kid has still lot of upside but Russell needs to have a decent or a very good game in the remaining games left. Or else Okafor would say " You should have draft me"...

If bust man gyud ni si Russell atleast he could be a back PG at worst, He could start and play off the ball with Kobe, or come off the bench and play off the ball with Williams.

Not much to look forward in Lakers Line up this year .. but Diehard Fans really want to believe they would be good this year... unsaon nalang kaha dli na sab cla ka sulod sa playoffs.. Ilis ko dayn sa channel Summer league against the Knicks frist quarter kay 4-15.. Some how the franchise needs a revamp..
What I can say about Russel he can pass..Never been a big fan of Hibbert he's a slow center..

They blew it. Trying to be smart and they looked past the obvious in Okafor or Porzingis. Here in LA where I get to watch Lakers access before and after each game when Analysts James Worthy, Dave Miller, and others are asked why he is a special player they actually had to pause every time to answer the question. That only means deep inside their hearts he is not and just hopes he develops into one which is really reaching for it. They can't criticize him this early or say something bad for fear of getting fired from the network. I can still remember when Lillard fromnout of nowhere dominated summer league, or Melo, and LeBron or Steph's-they dis not dominate summer league but they showed flashes of brilliance in their games that were special. With dloading I saw none. i saw slow-ass footed with a funky jumpshot, soft, overachieving dleague PG. it's weird when the Lakers analyst say he is special because of his basketball IQ and leadership, WTH is that? You never draft a guy this high based on intangibles, you always draft a guy because of either exceptional phyiscal gifts or exceptional skills and never because he sees the floor very well. If this is the new norm then Luke Walton would have gone no.1. LOL

I'm harsh with the FO because I'm angry. Never been this angry for blowing it.
