Ako team lead sa Cebu team (support) for our company. Working for this client for 2 years now via oDesk. Happy ko so far pero usahay laay kay ako ra usa sa balay. Kung nangita mo ug work sa oDesk, usa ra akong ma advise, ayaw lang mo apply sa kanang mga post na BPO pud from Manila (kasagaran ani nila sa Manila pero naa pud sa Cebu) kay dako ni sila ug kaltas. Dapat direct jd ka mu apply sa client. Ensure na verified ang ilang payment method, plus points pud ang nai feedback (stars). Dili sayon mangita ug work sa oDesk but if taasan lang nimu imung patience ug mag kugi kag pangita, kaya ra kaayo. Happy job hunting

Anyone can create a profile BUT not everyone has the patience and commitment.

I have coached more than 15 friends on how to go about things... sad thing is, it's either kapoyan or gusto ug dako diretso ilang rate.

example:

- Naa koy kaila nga email support, dli siya mo dawat ug $1.50/hour - to think in 8 hours 2 or 3 chats ra makuha... almost paid to do nothing, pero dli siya kay gamay ra daw rate..

If you think about it, clients who post jobs on these sites are either busy or are just starting out... so, mag base sila sa feedbacks from other clients... Now, if you're starting out... why would you ask for a higher rate given nga wala pa'y feedback para nimo?

Agree ko ani. Daghan ko natabangan setup sa ilang accounts sa oDesk. Sad to say, wa jd nakalampos nila. I started out with $2/hour akong rate as virtual assistant. Karon, ok2 na gamay kay nakabalhin na ko ug client because of my experience and feedback sa akong first client. Kanya2 ra jd na na diskarte. And yes, dapat jd committed jd ka sa imung job be it homebased or not.

I have accounts for both Odesk and Onlinejobs.ph , I just update my profile every now and then and ang client na ang mu contact nako... I work as a Team project manager for a web development company also as a technical and snippet writer for another 2 different companies. Actually lingaw ra cya, especially sa Team management, All I do is monitor my team's work, check on their attendance, print screen shots, answer queries, and what brings the most fun here is I HIRE and I FIRE Ang maka dalag stress are the technical writings especially if mag cramming na kay hapit na deadline, however it's still my fault man pud kay laagan man
