@Guidetocebu, try lang ka SNAP nutes kay mas sayon especially na beginner pa ka. Besides, ideal ni kaayo for leafy greens. I had a very good experience with SNAP nutes when I started with hydroponics. Lipay kaayo si misis na she could have green salad everyday. I had to rest for a while though kay busy sa work, but just a few days ago, I started "again", but with a different setup, using PET bottles and wick system, kay wala pa man available na styro boxes sa mga fruit stands.

I've just recently experimented with Hydroponics since Dec 2010, and i'm so glad that i found this thread (even though this has been here for ages now )

Anyway, for my school project, i have set up my own hydroponic system in my garden and been handling a few seminars/trainings for beginners only.

Right now, i've been raiding so many shops for perlite & clay pellets, but i can't find any. Would anyone give me a tip asa ko ka palit?

Here's my system at home, diri sa Talisay. It's not much, but it works well
    Constructive criticism needed from pros

i dont think its due to calcium or nute deficiency this time. the roots are starting to turn brown despite nute change every 4 days.

im giving up on growing tomatoes/fruiting plants on this type of planter. I think para ra gyud ni sa mga short lived leaf plants (lettuce, basil etc). Feeling nako na after some time the roots will start to decline for those plants that complete their life cycle in longer than say 1-2 months.

On a lighter note. Eggplant "fairy tale" hybrid

These are growing in soil-mix but i have the same ones in bucket hydro setup.

Off Topic.
