    Default Low Voltage at home..

    hello sa inyo tanan.
I have been having a problem for the past weeks about my pc nga sige nalang ug restart.. I check for viruses power supply pero wala gyud ma solve. Even ako gi reformat ako pc. sige lang gihapon ug restart. I recently found out nga low voltage diay ang amo kuryente sa amo gipuy an maong pirme mu restart akong pc. since gidevelope pa man ang among subdivision.. so temporary pa ang among power supply.. our whole block is just sharing one electric connection maong low voltage gyud.

i was thinking of buying a UPS. para naa continous ang power supply sa ako CPU. and I need help on unsa nga ang nindot nga brand, type nga paliton.
pwede ba nga bisag unsa ba nga klaseng UPS ako paliton? need your help

nag gamit naman ko ug AVR bai. Hinai gyud ang amo kuryente.. ang amo man ngani elecric fan number 3 na unya hinay mutuyok hehehe.. i was thinking of having a continous correct power supply para di na magsigeg restart ako pc.

UPS is more reliable than AVR, since it has backup battery to kick in each time voltage levels drop

Or buy a PSU with Active PFC, it will automatically adjust whatever input voltage your PSU detects, normal range is from 110V-230V.

HAHAHAHA SAME PROBLEM BEFORE! thats way back 2002-2003 sa amo subdivision LOW VOLTAGE, what I did was I called VECO and they fixed it. Now everythings okay.

would that mean silverstone psu such as st50f can run on any voltage between 110 - 230? lets say you plugged system to a 220 and suddenly power drops to more or less 180volts, would that still be fine?

never tried this though, maybe wa lang pud ko kabantay

palite avr servo type bai, kadtu mahalon nga klase, ayaw na avr tag 300 pesos lan kai mora mana ac outlet lan.dli na ka support kon mag low voltage na.

Yes, it is one of the functions of an active PFC on the PSU,not only the ST50F or silverstone PSU's, any brands that has active PFC on their PSU will do the same.

    Active PFC

The preferable type of PFC is Active Power Factor Correction (Active PFC) since it provides more efficient power frequency. Because Active PFC uses a circuit to correct power factor, Active PFC is able to generate a theoretical power factor of over 95%. Active Power Factor Correction also markedly diminishes total harmonics, automatically corrects for AC input voltage, and is capable of a full range of input voltage. Since Active PFC is the more complex method of Power Factor Correction, it is more expensive to produce an Active PFC power supply.
