ako mobo kay naa 2 ka IDE slot ug 2 ka SATA slot... nagtaud ko HD sa IDE slot and HD sa SATA slot..
situation: gusto ko ang SATA ako primary master.. secondary master ang IDE.. unsaon ni?? kay ako gisuwayan, IDE man jud iya primary... basin kabalo mo unsaon ni....

they are on different controllers so dili jud nimo mahimong master ang SATA over IDE.
are you trying to boot from the sata device? then go to the boot priority.

it doesnt matter if you have all that drive channels filled up.... by default, x86 boots primarily from native ide controller....
as others said, you can achieve what you want by going into boot priority.

Bro ayaw ka libog ana jud na SATA is different from IDE so iya mga controllers lahi kaayo. Then sa bios it is impossible nga ang SATA HDD nimo gusto ka mahimong Primary IDE Master. My question nimo does SATA and IDE the same? DI ba dako kaayo ug kalahian labi na sa spelling lang? so, kay lahi man it is being setup sa bios nga by default your SATA1 would be the primary SATA HDD if ever. Even sa mga new Board still sa bios mao ra gihapon ang setting nila.
Its how you configure your bios from boot priority setting. I suggest make your optical drive as your primary ide master and sata would automatically set to SATA1 as primary sata drive.
I hope it helpz ayaw kalibog kay libog na daan. Ako sa una pareho sad ko nimo ako jud pugson ug primary ang sata nga dili man IDE ang SATA. lol heheh..
