daghan nindot puy an sa mindanao. kung gusto gyud mo mosuroy, select the major cities instinctively.

here's my brochure of davao city...

Ang translation sa Kadayawan gikan sa lumad Dabawenyo term meaning tanan nga "good, beautiful, wonderful, etc." What I appreciate in Kadayawan among others is its being distinct and unique from other festivals in the country kay ang Lumad nga kultura (Davao has the most number of Lumad communities in Mindanao) very original dating back sa pre-colonial era nga wala gyud na influence sa mga invaders like Spain, so it's something that people can be proud of. Usa pud dili basta basta ilang original culture kay dili buki og bati, civilized ilang panan-aw and Universal, usahay mas civilized pa gani sila compared to mainstream Filipinos nga salawayon mga binuhatan.

And they know how to appreciate beauty as evidenced in their original costumes. Beauty, Art, and even Science (I can decipher their great cloth weavings with geometric shapes nga synchronized with Physics) is ingrained in their culture dili binuki ang pananaw nila and to think they practice their civility even before the Spaniards came. It is living proof that people in this country are already civilized even before the Spaniards. The ancient culture of the nation has survived and still lives through the living culture of the Lumads and that should be appreciated, preserved and protected. Dapat source ni sa inspiration para ma-define unsa ang Mindanaoan and Maharlikan, and Kadayawan sa Davao is doing that.

heres my suggestion. first, go to davao since there are a lot of tourist spots there. ive been to davao a couple of times already. when you get bored and satiated with davao, then try cdo. there are plenty of high rise hotels in the pipeline and a high rise condo by 2010.

    here's a proof.

BusinessWorld Online: Hotels planned in time for new airport's opening

Hotels planned in time for new airport’s opening
CAGAYAN DE ORO — Two new hotels will rise in this city in time for the opening of Laguindingan airport in 2010.

"More investors are putting their money into tourism facilities, specifically in hotels and real estate development," said city tourism officer Imma Rae D. Gatuslao.

She said that one problem that the city’s tourism office constantly faces when bidding to host big events is the lack of tourist facilities.

"This [the new hotels] would boost our chances to bid for national conventions," she said.

Korean leisure firm, I.F. Koresco Corp. earlier said it plans to build a $20-million 100-room casino hotel. Construction will start before the end of the year.

Moreover, Limketkai Sons, Inc. will begin construction of its 21-storey 250-room Novotel alongside its commercial complex early next year. Limketkai Group chief executive officer Alfonso Y. Lim said the hotel will cost P700 million.

ive always respected davao since davao is known as the premiere city in mindanao. cdo is still in her first stage of development. in short, cdo is still learning to walk while davao can already run. lets unite because by 2010 mindanao will have two premiere cities

can you put substance to the claim of having 2 premiere cities by 2010? was it bec laguindingan airport is set to open by then it will generate exponential traffic? sensibly, the amount of traffic lumbia airport presently have will not make any big deffirence imo in laguindingan. its a domestic airport serving same number of flights, carriers and destinations. there was growth of visitors in the region per latest ncsb stat. but the bulk of vissitors more than half of regions total were registered under the province of misamis occidental. if laguindingan want to suck them in, it has to shut down ozamis airport. which i guess obviously not feasible economically for those areas around it. but then ozamis airport is not a busy facility. so again, could be traffic from its seaport. and also i dont think cdo is feasible for direct internation connection.

the forumer that was claiming manila cebu davao was something like the thing of the past and pushing cdo in with claims so annoyingly short of substance attracted close look from people. his claims were nothing but made up merits of his town. full of air, bloatedness, and fakery

it seems to me like you dont want cdo to progress like other cities. all i know is that the twin towers will be the tallest in mindanao in two to three years time. if you cant accept that fact, im sorry because those are the facts and theyre undisputed.

Sugod daw ug tukod sunod tuig. Plano sa Filinvest kuno mudungan sa pag abri sa Ayala Center Davaosa 2010.
