    Agokoy,

By profession i'm an Engr. pero naay lang koy gamay ikatubag sa imong pangutana. Pls. allow me to answer your queries.

    1. how stocks or mutual funds work? their diference?
Actually kanang stocks belongs to mutual funds & there a 3 types to invest in mutual funds. Namely stock/securities, Bonds & Money Market. How stock works? mura lang ug buy low & sell high. Pero deli lang sya yano-yano, you need a profound research sa imong magustuhan nga kumpanya. Para naa kay idea about good entry & exit. Difference? stocks MF invest primarily in shares of stock issued by the company, Money Market MF invest primarily on short-term securities issued by the goverment while Bonds MF invest primarily on bonds. That's how they deal in tate. As far as i know, ila rapod nga gamiton sa ilang kumpanya to finance.

2.what it take to get into it? how? who to go to?
lets focus na lang sa stock, its a high yield & high risk investment puede pod nimong eh short or long term. Unlike sa Bond & Money Market naa na sila maturiy with a yield higher compare to your savings & time deposit.
Medyo barato rana nga broker ug modawat pud sila ug foreign client.
    - pag naka pili kana, moadto kasa website sa gusto nimong broker. Human fill-up ka on-line then eh print nimong kadtong imong gi fill-upan unja imong eh fax sa ila.
    - i believe it takes a week to process human mo advise sila sa imoha kung approve kaba or deli. Once approve kana, puede kanang mo money transfer to fund-in your account.
Pag nakita nimo nga naana kay balance to trade, thats the time puede kanang mo palit ug share of stocks.
    - BTW, 2K USD para sa ordinary account 25K USD pod para sa margin account (pero lisod mag apply ug margin account kung foreigner ka or deli resident sa US)

    3. assurance or risks of my personal investment
Kay mabalik man ang imong capital with an interest.
Some folks nag invest gyud sa stocks through there extra money. Extra money as in there income less monthly expense, housing, auto, pension & children educational plan. Kung naaap gani extra mao gyud nay ilang gamiton to invest sa stocks, its like your saving deposit with high risk & no certainty on your capital.

Hinaut maka tabang ng akong gi pang sulat..... Good luck.

since the stock market moves very fast, i mean, the ups & downs of price quotes mas advantageous if you do your transaction online. i believe local banks here nag-offer na sila ana. you can check bpi's website, www.bpiexpressonline.com. gi-explain sad nila ang available investment funds to choose from. masabot ra man ang ilang explaination. ang mga requirements naa sad including the minimum amount para mag-open ug account. probably metrobank also have the same online trading.

thanks kalinaw for the effort, it really makes a diffrence. it would be more helpful if you cite examples on a local setting. nga masabtan pud sa akong silingan nga titser nga retirable na who's looking for gud investment. can u cite also some tips you learn from ur own experience sa mutual fund/stockmarket? am always for the lookout of seminars or orientation about small time investments on it diri sa cebu. so far wa man ko kabantay announcement sa newspaper.
