HOW TO FIX: Noisy CPU fan

My processor is Intel Pentium 4 2.4 ghZ and it's fan is so noisy, it's very irritating.

Can this be replaced? What can you recommend?

try lubricating the fan's bearing with oil or any lubricant (1 drop is more than adequate imho)

I tried clearing some dust in the fan but it's still very noisy.

Haven't tried lubricating it.

price depends on the performance, but you can buy a 3rd party fan which has a close performance the stock fan/hs maybe it wont cost more than P500

you could try to go to arctech.. they have lots of info about cooling system.

Try installing Rheostat for your CPU fan this will adjust the Fan of the CPU speed and the noise levels.

So it's probably less than 500. I think I'll buy one nlang jud. When I first bought my PC, saba na gyud daan ang fan.. Mu-grabe ang saba if init ang panahon.. Most PCs man gud kay hilum even if init na ang CPU, mauna maglagot ko kay noisy kaayo ako... Thanks for the info guys.
