I think Marvel could have chosen a different villain. the Mad Titan isn't even a regular Avengers villain, not to mention everything that involves him is incredibly great in scope. Universal(he has become omnipotent twice iirc). he makes Eternity shift in his seat or shit in his seat.

Some of you have to understand that they wont totally copy whats in the comics, cuz they have to reach out to casual fans/new audiences. If they followed a lot of stuffs from the comics, it may confuse or even turn off people. It did what its supposed to do - charm the masses...

watching all the inputs on this thread, makes me wince seeing how many here are Marvel comic fans fanatics.. hehehehe

Stan lee must be reaping hordes of bucks not just from credits alone but on him being a star also (as far as I recall, Stan is always present in every marvel movie produced by Hollywood). Though I forgot lang if naa ba sya atong sa Hulk movie (with Eric Bana) before.
