BRAMPTON Peel Regional Police took the unusual step Thursday of releasing a photo of a man accused of killing a *** trade worker inside a Mississauga hotel, believing he may have victimized others in the same industry.
Niran Vade "Nick" Murray, 32, of Toronto, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Evelyn Bumatay Castillo, 43, a nanny and mother from Thornhill who was killed inside the Quality Inn hotel on Britannia Road Saturday.
Police said Castillo was a *** trade worker who advertised her services online and allege Murray was one of her customers.Castillo, 43, moved to Canada recently to find work to support her family in the Philippines.
Friends and family members of Castillo say she moved to Canada less than two years ago in an effort to find employment and send money back home to her family, which included a son and siblings.SOURCE: Temporarily UnavailableAccording to Castillo's online profile, she studied at Lyceum-Northwestern University in Dagupan, Philippines. Friends said she grew up in La Union, Philippines.
