take a bus or van-for-hire from Dumaguete bound for Bayawan, then tell the conductor to drop you off at Malatapay Market, Zamboanguita, then a short walk from the highway will lead you to the jetty port where chartered pumpboats will take you to Apo Island

only a few people know that the coastlines of Southern Negros have white sand beaches.. it stretches from Bayawan-Basay of Negros Oriental up to Hinoba-an, Sipalay City, and Cauayan of Negros Occidental
