I started a thread sad ani nga topic but i think nawala na..its recent though compared to this nga dugay na...
I am in Toronto, came here June 2012....

-took on watever job there was
-sent all the showmoney/money i brought from phils in < 3 mos.
-passed licensure exam3 (3 exams to be specific)
-have to go back to school (cause na late ug padala ako employer sa pinas sa ako papers, na abtan no sa "grace period", its okay though kay para competitive ako resume when applying)
-experienced working 3 jobs (di lalim)
-no kids, not married (advantage)
.........
lisud lng ang first 6 mos....but to be honest hantud karun wa pko ka sort of "dawat" nga naa ko dri nah, i still miss the phils esp.sa cebu....
i plan to go home once mka lodge nko ug application for citizenship which is probably by 2016...
mag scuba jud ko sa malapscua (i miss that)

RN- 50-$75K a year (give or take)
RPN-40-$60K a year (give or take)
depending sa KAKUGI nimu mu taas pa na..
3. sweldo sa welder (kato type sa taas^)
75-$120k a year (give or take)
gipakita ko sa iya paycheck wen he came here last feb, mu sweldo xa ug $5,000 per paycheck (every 2 weeks)
-disavantage: in his case, laay kaau sa alberta, walay life halos, layu sa mall, bugnaw kaau, mura daw cla astronaut ky baga ila suot pus welding suit...risky type of job but ang pay dako kaau, makawala daw sa kakapoy.hihi...dili tanan makaya ni nga type of job and life there.
4. minimum paying jobs: 1,500-2,500$ a month (mostly)
-caregivers (live in or private)
-nannies
-waiters
-janitors
-cleaners
-tim hortons, mcdonalds, etc...
5. If nurse mo, try ug apply sa quebec or saskatoon ky mas dali compared sa ontario or alberta,
sa ontario mu abot pa ug 3-4 years usa ka eligible to take CRNE
for RPN- mas dali right away mka take ka ug exam na and u can get ur license, salary difference kay 5-8$ per hour...

I think it's still hard to find a "good" job here but it's getting better since the worldwide recession. This is not the 80s and the 90s anymore where anyone can get a good full-time employment without any Canadian certificate. Save up money inorder to enroll to a college or university for a "refresher" course, in this country which means, go back to school and get a Canadian diploma or degree. Don't send money back home in the Philippines either, at least not for now. Learn how to refuse when they ask money for whoever's birthday or whatever the occasion is going to be. to be honest sir, mao nahan ko migrate canada or sumwer cold ang climate ky naa ko condition called Ectordermal Dysplasia, the INABILITY TO SWEAT...as in literally jd...wala koy sweat glands and pores. bisag mo dagan pako tibuok kalibotan walay undang undang dle jd mo kita ug singot nko..hehehe look it up sa google

so, meaning pirme init ako lawas ky walay kagawsan ang init sa sud sa lawas ug walay kagawsan ang singot..ang normal body temperature nko is more than 20% cgro sa inyong mga normal body temperature..

I used to work at a call center w/c is good BUT ang problema adto ky night shift ko so ing uli nko buntag na and init na kaau and dle pd ko ka tulog ky init na kaau!!den balhin kog work sa Gelatissimo as a service crew, a store nga nag sell ug gelatos so nag atubang ko pirme ug dagko kaau ug REF ang veryyy productive jd ko and d best part was DAY JOB cya!hehehe..ddto ko nag dugay (almost 3 yrs cgro to) but after 8 months as a service crew, na promote ko to IT officer so balhin sa office den after 3 months npd ky na promote npd ko to payroll master den mao daun to..resign ko ky pa skul ko balik sako mama..

currently taking up BSPT ko krn sa SWU..but desperado njd kaau ko maka migrate to canada or sumwer bugnaw lage ky ngka init ang PINAS den ngka less productive npd ko..plus tungod sa among youngest brother namo nga parehas pd nko ug condition pro naa pjd cya lain complication ky naa cya rheumatic heart disease ug club footed cya so dle cya ka lakaw tarong and kahinganlan cya assistance pirme isa pd ka rason mao ni resign ko para tabang ko ako papa ug mama

unsa imo ma advice nko sir and katong mga naa sa Canada krn?

mas maayo cguro humanon nimo imong schooling if u want to migrate to canada, coz usa na sa requirement. or if ganahan ka, apply as a caregiver, ngita kag employer mosponsor nimo.

actually 2nd course nana nko ang PT rn...i graduated ABMusic a few years back..pro wala ko mag praktis ana karn...for personal entertainment nlng to ako 1st course hehe..

murag madugay pa ni amoa kay we found out after feb 2008 na re-file amung application although 2004 mi nag start ug process... nag close gud ang agency nga nag asikaso sa amung papers way back and then 2008 na mi nag re-file w/ enhance immigration's assistance.

Mangutana lang ko usob ha?kadto nag closed unsa to sya na agency?musta man ang enhance ok ba na sya wa bay problema?dili lage to ang enhance ang nagka problema?unya unsa injo gihimo about adto na agency? Nag apply man pd ko under sa skilled worker,sa enhance ba gihatag nila sa injo ang detalye sugod sa pagsend sa inyong mga docs ?Gina update ba mo nila sa inyong application?Salamat kaajo daan hinaot na matubag unta ning ahong mga puzzle sa mind...

Nay mga nag apply ani na nurse under skilled worker sa enhance cebu?palihog ko share unsa ila palakad sa pag proseso.Nag apply ko sa ila last yr ila na daw gi submit last Dec 2013 pero wa pa man gud balita bisan gamay ug niabot na ba ahong papel mag 5 months na ....palihog ko share salamat daan...(wa koy nadawat when it was recvd,kinsa ang nagrecvd sa ahong docs na ila gipada ug file #)
