pc turns off automatically and turns on by itself

hi! istoryans. naa koy problem with the troubleshooting of the pc that I was upgrading yesterday.

it's a dell intel p4 celeron (socket 478 i think). this happened when I replaced the hard disk and upgraded the memory to a higher one. Ig boot mo on kadali then ma off cya, then mo balik na sad on ig iya, balik balik ra na process.

i returned back the old componoents kay basin nabag-ohan ra ang pc. pag balik nako mao na gihapon the same na (turn on, off, on, endless)

i then removed the mobo from case. butang sa flat surface, gi try usa, usa. kung ang memory na naka install or even ang memory lang ang diha mogawas ang sakit na sad.

what do you think ani? mobo problem?

try daw off autorestart makita ba ang problem...

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System (Windows+Pause works, too)
2. Go to Advanced
3. Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings...
4. Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"

upgraded memory from 256mb pc2100 ddr1 to 1gb pc3200 ddr1.
ok ang dagan without the memory installed, (only hdd, optical drives) mo beep cya. when memory is inserted na or if the memory is just installed (w/out hdd, optical drives), diha na mabuang.
i cleared the cmos already. (but i will try to clear it again today) tried another psu, avr (coz i thought it was just power is at fault).

basin memory compalibility issue ra na bro... unsa to ang old ram nimo na 256mb double sided or single sided lng? imo ba gipares ang 2 ka ram?

single sided ra ang 256mb. ang bag-o kay double sided. wala na man gud baligya na single sided ra. gi balik nako ang karaan na memory mao na gihapon mo off, nya on na sad. di ba backwards compatible man na nya basta 184pins
