the G10 is one fantastic camera. the IQ is great.

But if you look at different local forums like dpp, pipho; you can see how many are bitten by the Lx3 bug (i for one hehehe)...check out the link posted by fathervince

the advantages are, you can trade/buy and sell/ask feedback/learn from lx3 owners because there are more lx3 users than G10 users here. we are even waiting for a possible lx4 hehehhe

but it all boils down to you at the end of the day sir

cocoy is right, it boils down to you really since both camera are just amazing. i have held both and g10 feels better. specifically as mryozo said, iq=g10 and bp=lx3.

hmmm is it true that G10 can handle only 15secs shutter and LX3 is capable upto 60secs exposure...
