Red Mobile is now for non 3G phones

I just found out that Red Mobile now works for non 3G phones.

Tried using it on my k800i using the GSM network only and it still worked. For good measure, I tested my Red Mobile Sim on my Nokia 1200... and the Red Mobile Sim now works.

Red Mobile now works for non 3G phones as it now uses the GSM signals but still why they didn't make such announcement boggles my mind.

With rates like:
.5cents for text / call / mms for Red to Red Mobile

The fact that it now works for any phone (GSM networks or 3G). Will more people turn red?
