    LIFE INSURANCE
I am your life insurance policy.
It is your job to provide food, clothing, shelter, schooling, medicine, and other things for your loved ones. You do this while I lie in your safe deposit box.
I have faith and trust in you. Out of your earnings will come the cost of my upkeep. At times, I may appear insignificant to you – but someday (and who knows when) you and I will change places.
When you are laid to rest, I will come alive and do your job. I may provide food, clothing, shelter, schooling, medicine, and other things your family will continue to need – just as you are doing now. When your work and labor are done, mine will begin. Through me, your hands can carry on.
Whenever you feel the price you’re paying for my upkeep is burdensome, remember that I can do more for you and your family than you will ever do for me.
If you do your part, I will do mine.

    Sincerely yours,
    Your Life Insurance Policy

uhm, let me just clarify something...life insurance is very flexible...i believe almost all life insurance companies already have the death benefits+ living benefits...living benefits include man hospitalization and disability benefits..kung ako ibutang that this morning your son was admitted to the hospital and was diagnosed with leukemia...do you have enough money to support his therapy?for how long can you support him?

but, ill put it this way, tinoud that when we die, atung family ra ang mka benefit sa atung g hagu...but, isnt that glorifying?we die in peace because khbw ta nga dili mag problema atung family when we die...because everything is taken cared of..and para sa mga breadwinners sa family, how would you feel if you die, ang imung mga anak nga naa sa private schools, ma pugos mu skwela ug government school, or worse, mu stop ug school because youre no longer there to support their studies..or perhaps you are the housewife and a full time mother of a 7, 8, 9-year old kids..and then the working husband dies. what is left for you?

Bro, covered na bro, mas maayo hinoon daghan kag policies. Pero if naa na siyay per-existing na sakit then namatay due to his/her pre-existing, dili jud na covered. Pero ang Life Insurance naa nay contestability period na 2 years, meaning after 2 years na nag cge siya pay, dili nana i investigate iyang cause of death.

are you sure life insurance ang nakuha sa imong na-dunggan?? Ang ingon ana nga scenario kay sa health insurance man... if you have 2 health insurance providers and na-bayaran ra sa isa ka-HMO ang imong needs, dili na jud bayaran sa other HMO kay they are there to address the uncertainty of having to deal with unexpected medical bills. So, if na-address na, mugawas nga wala nay tubagunon ang pikas... But as for life insurance, bisan 5 pa kabuok ang imong providers, ibayad jud na stated benefits nga naa sa policy contract... i-clarify lang daw brod kung unsa to imong nadunggan... Basn sa health insurance to...

@medwarc: bitaw basin sa life insurance to... But I was offered proposals about health care. It's like is he is diagnosed with a particular illness, they will give you the face amount (sum covered) on your policy and they have also medical reimbursements on daily hospital room expenses and etc. But at the same time while you haven't use it pa mo gain sad cya ug dividends. Pero dili na cya life insurance, para rajud na in case na masakit ang owner. Murag ingon ana... Can't explain much further kay gi offer raman to naku nga plan gud, wala ko nikuha...

@lorenzoleo - correction lang... If naay pre-existing illness and namatay due to the pre-existing, there are 2 scenarios for this... Assuming nga life insurance plan iyang gikuha jud ha...

    1. If gi-declare pag-sugod ang pre-existing, the insured will be paying an additional premium on top of the basic premium. Then later on, namatay sya due to the pre-existing illness. Ang mahitabo ani kay bayaran gihapon sya sa life insurance company kay gi-declare man niya pag-apply pa lang daan sa policy.

    2. If wala nya gi-declare nga naa sya pre-existing illness, then w/in 2 years namatay sya and it was found out nga naa sya gi-hide nga mga conditions upon application of the policy, then that's the time nga dili mabayaran ang stated benefits. Basically, i-uli lang sa life insurance company sa beneficiaries ang nabayad... The non-declaration of the pre-existing illness will basically nullify the contract between the insured and the life insurance company. But if the the life insurance company accepted the insured in spite of his pre-existing condition, then they are bounded by law to pay out the amount in the contract...

i really cant appreciate life insurance. Wa pako kita sa value. I really believe na it is best na imo patuyukun imo money sa business. ang life insurance man gud, your allowing other people to prepare your future. and there is a huge risk because gamay ra ang nisurvive na insurances for more than 50 years. do your math, if your 25 years old, your expecting na youll be enjoying the fruits after 35-40 years. most insurances na surving karon and sikat is more than 20 years na.

    just an opinion.

good financial planning always involved insurance as part of your portfolio...you seem to be looking at insurance (life) like a retirement fund....totally different baskets...
