layo ra ang price to performance ratio ang intel? tapari koni nga specs sa intel with amd
intel e5300 - 2795
ecs g31t-ml - 1995
kingston pc800 1gb - 1095
seagate 250gb - 1750
ati 4650 - 2500
silverstone st50f-es - 2800
total = 12935
tanawn nato if layo ba gyud ang difference.
Athlon II X2 240 2.8ghz - 2650
ASrock N68C-S - 2150
Team Elite 2gb DDR3-1333 - 2190/ to keep price similar, say let's go for a 1gb Kingston ram w/c the mobo also supports btw - 1095
Western Digital Caviar Blue 320GB -1800
Powercolor HD5550 512mb GDDR3 - 2880
FSP Blue Storm 500w 80+ - 2480
Total: 13055
More tricks on AMD's sleeve
Athlon X2 5000 - 2750 ( can be unlocked to a Phenom FX-5000 quad core ( deneb w/ 6mb L3 cache ) thanks to UCC)
ASrock N68C-S - 2150 ( mobo supports unlocking on selected procies )
Kingston 1GB DDR2-800 - 1095
Western Digital Caviar Blue 320GB -1800
Powercolor HD5550 512mb GDDR3 - 2880
FSP Blue Storm 500w 80+ - 2480
Total: 13155
By that build, I got superior procie, video card and much bigger hdd. Yesterday I decided to just let this thread be, but I just can't let this one pass, to much fanboyism in the air is giving me a headache lol.
p.s
And btw, if you don't want to try unlocking ( which is just as easy as 1,2,3 ) but still if you insist, there's the athlon II X3 ( triple core ) 435 2.9ghz for 700 pesos more.

@erwin_rommel: bro, we do not mind that you really like intel products but please don't go and declare AMD cpus to be rubbish because of your bias tho.... It's a no-brainer that AMD is the king of value/performance, almost all of the top computer hardware sites has stated this. just look at computer builder guides from tomshardware and bit-tech for example, they are dominated by AMD on below the $200 segment. You can verify their performance charts if you want.
Just because you had a bad experience with AMD that doesn't mean that this is an absolute rule of all AMD cpus. The competition on the cpu market has become so fierce in the last two decades between these two companies that both are really producing high quality products. And if your bias is clouding your judgement to see that AMD produces really good products as well then I feel sorry for you.

AMD good for student like me and Intel good for professionals ^__^ that's all hehe![]()
^^ even in corporate/professional environments, AMD is also competitive with their Opteron processors. Many even argue its also the best value in that segment. Clock for clock though, Intel still holds the performance crown with the Nehalem-EX architecture.
well, i dont like to repeat bad experiences bro. i have no or few bad experiences with intel thats why im sticking to it plus im very satified with its performance already. im not only after performance but i also think of warranties, durability and reliability. thats why i always ask about rma things coz i dont like my computers to have bigger probability of failing in less than a year. its the reason why i will not recommend to people asking my advice what to buy with that asrock N86c-s because it uses nforce 7050 chipset and from my sources, today's nforce chipsets are the highest in rma even with any brand of mobo. i dont want to gamble my reputation with it. i use that seagate 250gb not that wd 320 because though the wd maybe is cheaper, i still prefer the 3yr warranty by seagate. same goes to silverstone psu's. plus i dont play tweaks with my hardware coz its like giving roids to your pc. and remember, roids can shorten a person's lifespan plus stability issues could rise from tweaks and i have no time find solutions to problems that i myself is part of the blame thats why i prefer stock settings. and one more thing is i wish i was an intel fanboy coz i wouldnt have that bad experiences with amd. now, my heart is ticking faster and hoping that the amd's i recommended will last for aleast 3 yrs.

e5xxx vs amd x3?

pakitama lang ako if mali
Umm, if naa panang Athlon X2 5000 then I'll go with that. ang problem ana now is ang availability.
and ang Athlon II X3 435 pod ma unlock man sad, mahimo xang Athlon II X4 B35.
So if naa panang X2 5000, then mao nlng na ako kuhaon. And the reason for me insisting on the
X3 is because basin nya ang Mobo na akong mapalit dle mo support og unlocking. Unless maka hatag ka nako og Mobo nga in-stores pa karon nya ma sure ko nga mo support og unlocking, then pangitaon jud ko nang X2 5000.
PS: dli na Athlon X2 5000 Black Ed.?
