Share lang ko sa ako experience. Actually trekkie ko and I have been watching Star Trek movies and TV shows ever since high school man tingali. During that time I really believed that the technology used in the show is real. Then I took up BS Physics sa college. I may have been inspired sa Star Trek nga mutake ani na course. Anyway, sa college, I learned how Star Trek really is science "fiction". I learned na it is impossible (with our current technology) to "beam" someone from one place to another in a matter of seconds. I also learned na in space, you could barely hear large explosions. But did this change my views sa Star Trek and science? Nope, it only motivated me more sa paglearn. I wanted to know which is possible and impossible and curious as to why we couldn't achieve some things like "beaming" an object from one place to another. So anyway, for me, having scifi movies may not be that bad at all even though it would stray away from actual science. It could actually help the young generation to open their imagination and maybe someday we could create some of the technologies in these scifi movies.
