thats what we call respecting freedom of speech. but you cannot blame the 5 it's their choice, maybe grabe najud ilang kalagot ato na time ma.o to ila tong nabuhat
Kinda exaggerated. Their personal vendetta just destroyed the essence of the graduation rites. Just because we have choices doesn't mean what we do is always right even if we believed in it. Right principles done in wrong methods will always be wrong.

as for the 5 students, bastos jud ang gibuhat nila... although we hate ermita, but with this, give him respectas a guest... freedom of speech? yes, it is but wrong place and wrong time jud...
we may have different views about ermita but for me a liar speaking infront of me deserves a tomato in his face

you cannot say it's wrong, and we cannot say it's right, it really depends on the person's perspective.

I agree. Let me repeat his nice sentiment. "Just because we have choices doesn't mean what we do is always right even if we believed in it. Right principles done in wrong methods will always be wrong."

It does not depend on the person's perspective. Shall we say person A steals P10,000 for his mom's hospitalization from person B. Person A would then be able to gain something, while person B loses something. The following would be the perspectives:

    1. Person A - "What I did was right coz I needed money to cure my mom. After all, this money was not used for evil intents. I do not deserve to be punished. I am good and worthy."

    2. Person B - "He (person A) should be punished by law. The end does not justify the means."

From these examples, do you think that Person A did the right thing just because in his own perspective was "I do not deserve to be punished."? If the latter was indeed correct, then everyone must follow this perspective. There would be no organized thought then. What will be the purpose of the Law?

They might have all the right reasons to back it up that we don't know but the mere fact of doing it during the graduation makes it wrong. Think about it, the graduation rites is not Ermita and even if he's the guest speaker they should have given respect, not to him but to the school and ceremony. Binisay-on nako, ibutang sa saktong lugar.

I'd give you a concrete example. If you're in a party thrown by someone and you see someone you really hate and abhor, would you create a scene just because you hate that person? Or would you control yourself and think about the real essence of the occasion?

I agree. In fact, their intents may be right, but it is and will never be an excuse to doing some unacceptable act. It is too childish.

i totally agree. kung mo base nlng diay ta sa person's perspective on what is right, we don't need laws for that matter nlng diay. that's only for the anarchist's mind to digest...

this may sound insulting but it's pretty clear that the 5 has "no proper decorum". it doesn't matter if they are leftist, or rightists, as long as gibutang lang sa saktong lugar.

Ermita is not the graduation ceremony u know. And as a rule of thumb, a "guest speaker" must be regarded w/ respect bisan asa nga program nimo imbitaron. NO MATTER how u personally dislike him/her...mao btaw na gitawag GUEST speaker. otherwise, kung majority sa graduates didnt like the idea of Ermita being the speaker, why not nag reklamo nlng unta cla daan sa presidente?

and if walay mahims ky c Ermita gyud, the best thing unta ang gibuhat aning lima is to protest nlng unta gawas sa campus gate, either upon Ermita's arrival or exit.

naay gaingon,"ah, ceremony ra btaw na". wow!!! delikadong mosanay...
