    Detroit 109, Phoenix 102
    Billups Rallies Pistons Past Suns

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 2 (Ticker) -- Chauncey Billups and the Detroit Pistons were determined to be the only team in the NBA to avoid losing to the Phoenix Suns this season.

Billups scored 28 of his 35 points in the second half as the Pistons rallied from a 17-point deficit to defeat the Suns, 109-102.

Billups also produced 27 points in the teams' prior meeting this season, a 111-104 Detroit triumph in Phoenix on November 10. The Suns have beaten every other team in the league at least once.

"Chauncey was amazing," said Phoenix point guard Steve Nash, the reigning league MVP. "He made some shots from 30 feet. It's tough to beat a team when a guys is making shots like he was tonight and he was just terrific.

"We were fighting a little fatigue and when a guy is making shots like he was - it's not like we were making a lot of mistakes on him - he was just making shots that were incredible."

Billups admitted he enjoyed matching up against elite players like Nash.

"When you look at a game like today, it's a lot of fun," Billups said. "Personally, for me, to get to play against Steve Nash, it was great. He always makes me play harder and I just have to step up to that challenge."

can't just blame it on the young guy... i've read the article you got into, and i was not impressed with BJ Armstrong's article. sure, it was a "bad" pass as some people may call it, BUT, what if Hughes made the shot? the headlines would indicate that Lebron has blossomed into an all-around player. it was like, Jordan (Lebron) giving a pass to Steve Kerr (Hughes) with seconds remaining back in their NBA Finals game, only in this case, Hughes didn't make it.

He did an ala-Jordan move, sure... But im not trying to defend "King James" here. It's just a common mistake made by common players. It made a news just because Lebron is considered to becoming being one of the best players in the league. We can't just put it that way jsut because of a common mistake, the kid's just trying to grow-up.

What if Melo made a pass to Andre Miller, and missed the shot? Aww... critics may start pointing their indexes to him.

it was just a regular game. big deal. Lebron is still working on his life story and that includes mistakes, struggles and disappointments. standing up after a fall and learning from it makes him what we all want him to be.. and he's just what.. 22 yrs old. let him be.

but LBJ knws that Larry just got back from the injury... yah all around player jud cya... way mo kontra ana... and did you see the replay?? James can tie the game...or maybe he should be the one shooting the 3...hes on fire in 4th quarter until that closing seconds... what if Larry made it?...well wala man nya na shot...so wala jud... hehe

if Melo made that mistake...i know, we know...all analyst or reporters around the world hate him...cuz his imature, stupid, etc...

while LBJ made that mistake...only few people reacted...but daghan kaayo mo defend...

...and by d way...Kerr was healthy dat time...and we know hes a clutch shooter...Hughes can shoot, but he is good as a defender in close games...

once again LBJ is 22 yrs old. he's expected to make one or two of those kinds of mistakes. you know why Melo gets a lot more criticizms than LBJ? it's because of the long list of Melo and his antics.. the latest one: throwing the ball into the crowd and hitting an 11 yr old girl costing him $5K.. that surely won't help Melo's case either.. once again it was "one game" in the regular season.. for sure Jordan, Erving or anyone of those NBA legends made those mistakes a couple of times in their careers..

i dont really think that was a bad decision by lebron. when he drove to the basket the whole knicks team was already in the paint trying to guard him. so he kicked out to the open man, who was larry hughes, a decent 3 point shooter at 37%.

passing a clutch shot isn't bad, imo. Michael Jordan even gave up a clutch shot and passed to steve kerr who made a shot against their finals game against utah. i think it was game 6 where the won the championship
