I'm in the Financial Services industry as well. Media sometimes give wrong information, they usually equate Life Insurance as Pre-Need.

I think some of us here are very literate enough about life insurance. I, myself is a financial consultant. I was in Singapore before and you know what?they pay insurance every month. they get deducted from their ,monthly salary and they see where the deductions go. In our country?louy kau ta paminawn kay murag optional pa ang pag buy ug life insurance but sa abroad, life insurance is required. naa mn jud na xa sa agent. its not the company. All life insurance companies aim the same thing. "PROFIT. BUT IN THE PUBLIC'S BEST INTEREST"..saddest part...cars get insured, health get insured, even JLO'S gluts is insured. because we value the car, we value the health of the person, and most of all, JLO's gluts is valuable...so, question...DO YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE?

@gladzmae - sakto jud ka, alot of work to do, to educate people about this things.
I don't know why most of us Filipinoes are allergic to Insurance. T_T!
Maybe because of our belief? Maybe having an insurance policy means doesn't
    trust God.? Hehehe!

Important jud na ang life insurance, labi na if naa nakay family. You just don't know when that time comes, miski unsa pa nimu ka fit diha. And the earlier you get insurance much better because it's cheaper pa while you're young. Just adjust it nalang if mutaas napud imong net worth. If you bought properties, then mas importante pajud kay pang protection sa estate tax.

yes...maybe the belief is a factor...but the mentality is the main reason..gnhn mn gud mga pinoy ug free...but hellotuod business company ang life insurance but if imu jud xiya kwentahun...daku sad jud kau kag benefits from it...if dili natu ma change atung ways of thinking, dili mn jud ta mu asenso...ako personally, when I joined the our company, nka realized jud ko nga maybe its what my parents missed ut...no matter unsa ka daku iung savings sa bank, nig withdraw nimu, 10% remains in the bank for the charges...or worse, if you die, the bank freezes your money...sa insurance, if you decide to withdraw, makuha nimu full nimu face amount g byad ...if you die, your family gets it...dili xa ma freeze..

@lorenzoleo- thanks...its not that they dont trust God...they're just scared to sacrifice night life and buying stuffs in return for future investments...murag, they only think of what they need now..

"its better to have something that you don't need now, than to need something now that you dont have.."

...and not much will happen if the government itself doesn't impose anything to make this mandatory/implemented/drive it or something...in other countries, many of them are govern by such rules...bisag ma educate pa ang tawo but kun ang income of most people can't even barely make both ends meet in a month...i doubt insurance will come to their minds and priorities first....zzzz

naa sad kay point about daghan naay problems sa income. but daghan man sad ana nila, if you check how they handle their finances daghan pud kaayo money leak. so all we can do is educate, but if they wont have the discipline to minimize money leaks and get additional income then wa najud tay mabuhat ana. kay naa na ang info, they just didnt act on it.

MK - In other countries their salary deduction per month is huge because most of it goes directly to their health savings, ang insurance polices. But in our country ato tax especially sa nag work around 15% ra per month, so meaning ana, it is now our control to get health savings programs and life insurance policies.

Hi there gladzmae, I like the way you think and i like your mindset. But sad to say only few people sacrifice, because Filipinoes wants instant gratification and that is why ang Pinoy dili matagam ug scam, bisan kahibaw na na scam ang gisudlan, isugal pa jud kay yawat na lang daw dali maka kwarta. Hehehe! Luoy kaayo.

Instead of careful study and planning, patience, hardwork, discipline but most Filipinoes are always finding some get-rich-quick-scheme deal which is not real. There is no such thing as get-rich-quick scheme but bisan nailad na sauna gusto pa jud mag pailad kay isugal jud kay basi madato dayon within "two months" hehehehe!

SCAM usually offer you this folowing:
1.) Very high interest and guaranteeing you with no risk
2.) Promises you success without hardwork
3.) Seminars usually full of HYPE tactics
4.) They show you off their fat checks so that you will be inticed to join into their scheme
5.) They can't show you their track record and where did they started.
6.) Sometimes they are offering you collaterals outside the country.
7.) They don't involve in product movement.
8.) They usually get big commissions in recruiting but less income in selling(Front ra ang product)
