I have mixed-feelings about signs. Somehow I always am skeptic when people tell me of the signs they see but other times I am desperate to see them myself, most especially when I am torn between two choices. Sometimes I am serious about it, other times I'm not.

When you toss a coin and feel disappointed with the result, then that gives you a choice to change your course, you don't necessarily need to follow the coin. I guess signs help that way. Helps give you an honest perspective of yourself; and ultimately you do what you will.
