I am a regular reader of newspaper and it is saddening to learn that a cafgu member named Venancio T Buawas stationed at Baracatan detachment in Brgy Sibulan, Davao City was abducted by the CPP/NPA last January 27, 2007. This terror group will continue sowing fear even to civilians.
What about the extra judicial killings, kidnappings, disappearances, & torture of members of progressive organizations carried out by covert military operatives? Do you have an opinion on this?
wats so progressive organizations? progressive di sila? murag sila man mo bira pdng ubosOriginally Posted by Juan Miguel
These are just mere accusations bro. You are directly accusing the military like you have a proof. Acquitted man gani sila sa CHR. Try to look at the other way, the terrorist group (NPA), they are capable of doing those crimes kay sigurado man sila nga AFP dayun ang pasanginlan.Originally Posted by Juan Miguel

They were kidnapped and not seen ever since?

And if this one guy's questions (Juan Miguel), yes questions and not ACCUSATIONS are deemed false, why do you get so hyped up and get defensive? I dont see anything wrong in asking. He was even kind enough to ask for your opinion nicely.

Gov’t has ‘fatal mindset’ on killings -- militant solon

MANILA, Philippines -- A “fatal mindset” was how a militant lawmaker described the government’s seeming indifference to the spate of extrajudicial killings in the country.
Bayan Muna Representative Teodoro Casiño was strongly reacting to the statement of Secretary Norberto Gonzales, officer-in-charge of the Department of National Defense, that the Left was winning the propaganda on killings.
“How can 863 documented killings and 187 missing persons be dismissed as mere propaganda? How can the findings of the UN [United Nations] and EU [European Union] teams, the Melo Commission and countless investigations be regarded as propaganda?” Casiño asked.
The Palace-formed Melo Commission had investigated the killings and, among its findings, held some military officers responsible for the outbreak of violence.
“No wonder the killings haven't stopped. The government, not just the AFP [Armed Forces of the Philippines], is still in a total state of denial,” he said.
Casiño said Gonzales' statement only revealed “the fatal mindset that has engulfed Malacañang and threatens our people.”
Another Bayan Muna Representative Satur Ocampo and Gabriela Women's Partylist Representative Liza Maza have been asking Malacañang to recall the appointment of Gonzales.
They fear that the Anti-Terrorrism Law, which is set to take effect this month, would be used by Gonzales against the activists, militant groups, and his perceived enemies
