there is no right or wrong in terms of figures sa savings because goals, priorities, income, target savings, etc is distinct from one person to another.

if you aim for capital appreciation, you may invest a portion of it to those with higher risks yet may garner high returns (or loss).
if you want to preserve your savings for short term to medium term, look for investment vehicles which cater your needs.

Karun pa ko kabalik ani nga thread.. nindot jud ning threada daghan nag share how to save/invest ug daghan sad na inspired.

sa mga mag start ug invest, take time to study before ka musod ug stocks ug unsa paman na nga investments.. cost averaging cguro ang less risk for stocks, pero kailangan gihapun mag study how it works.. study and research jud.. (ayaw palabi sad ug dugay because time is your ally)

even though I had a very bad experience sa IMG, pero sa ilaha ko naka dungog na health/life insurance ang foundation before ka musulod ug mga investments. mag unsa man daw ng imung investment kung after 2 months masakit ka then makuha dayun imung gi-invest kay wala kay insurance. (investment is pang long term jud sample stocks ug uban pa)

mao sad siguro ang advantage sa life insurance with investment side ky moabot ang time nga sustainable na ang funds to pay-off the life insurance. usu. 10-20 years... kapoy mn sad gud nga mobayad ka "lifetime" especially during late part of middle age to old age and in times nga maglisod na.

Para nako Bro ok kaayo ni imong kaila kay naka-save gyud siya ug 600K within 5 years. Wala man sad nimo ibutang diri ug unsa iyang work ug pila iyang sweldo. Not unless naa na siya daghan investments, business or assets.

nalingaw ko ug read ani nga thread. its good that there are topics like these diri para mag encourage sa mga pinoys to save and invest. i think ang mga pinoys kay di pa kaayo ga prioritize ug investments then sayang ang opportunities nga ma miss.

kay sa gi ingon sa uban diri... let your money work for you... meaning work smart, not necessarily work hard.

    age: 30s

savings/investments: i started years ago with mutual funds. nindot kaayo kay ako ra gibilin didto ug gipasagdan... and it has grew around 50 to 60% already. gisayangan gani ko why gamay ra akong gibutang.

i think everyone just needs to start and advantage pajud if you start young. for beginners, if mag invest mo... i highly recommend mutual funds or utif. kay pasagdan ra na ninyo long term and it will be worth it jud. basta, have discipline to leave it there longterm.

kung expert investor na... pwede na mag stocks / equities para bigger gain but then bigger risk jud ni.

^^ I have MF but gamay ra na percentage. I'm not against MF, it's for newbies and people who don't have time to study the market. In the long run, dako mabayran sa management fee which is ok coz u are paying for their expertise. Diretso nlng sa index stocks.
