the first aid kit will expire 2014-2015, when it does expire, 6 mos before, i will donate it to charity. so that it will be used. if nothing happens to the world hehehehehe. i forgot the prices but the cheapest meds i found was from generics pharmacy.
first aid kit meds:
for rehydration: oresol sachets (5 packs per head) 5.50 per pack
for anti bacterial: amoxicillin 500mg ( 50 tabs) at 3.50 per tab
for anti diarrhea: diatabs/lomotil (50 tabs) at 4.50 per tab
for burns: burn ointments
for fever: paracetamol (50tabs)
for antacids: kremil s (20 tabs)
for allergies: antihistamine
sterile band aids/plasters/gauze/gloves
needle and syringe
match/lighter
flashlight-this flashlight must be kept inside the medi kit. use other flash light for other purposes
* if you wanna go extreme you can add adrenaline injectables to your kit heheheheheh -recommended for zombie apocalypse
this kit cost me around 900 for the meds and another 400 for the box. u can buy it at cdrking or novo eheheheh

i also prepared the basic necessities:
water- budgeted at 1liter per head per day good for 20days only.
water for bath n washing- bought water tank that holds 80 liters. there are drum barrels in gas stations that sells 1200/barrel holds 120 ltrs if im not mistaken
canned goods - budgeted it at 2 cans per day per head for 20 days.
lighter/matches-waterproof( just placed it inside a plastic cover and sealed it with tape
flashlight-the kind that re charges using coil/shake
pots n pans for cooking
kalan-for people dependent on electric stoves
coal/wood for cooking, or lpg
gas/fuel- i suggest water can stored safely *warning flammable* dug 3ft and buried the water can packed in plastic sealed properly because of limited storage space ( hazardous pod)
candles, placed in glasses to avoid fire-this ones cheapest at downtown area, mga china2x made
winter clothing- this is in case of polar shifting ( bought ukay ukay winter jacket at 100 per piece-i dont know f barato naba ni...)
rope,tools
for consumables:because most of these stuff wont go bad if kept in proper storage. shelf life of around 2-3 years
rice, sugar, honey, seeds(buy it pacifica), flour, cornstarch, catsup and mayo (because i cant live without these) ehhehehee
pls feel free to add to the list.
also made printed a map of the area, thru googlemaps... so that my loved ones will know where to go in case of tsunami/flashflood or if we get separated. we agreed on a meeting point/place like church, school, etc. during the earthquake and tsunami panic that happened last time in cebu, txts and calls was very hard to get thru the network
Naka "prep" sad ko para sa bagyo pero dili para doomsday
Tubig ug food jud pinakaimportante iprepare. However, daghan kaayo ways na mag "doomsday" as can be seen by the different ways the preppers prepare (sa nat geo). Pwede economic crash, nuclear war, solar flare (EMP), zombies (lol), etc. Nalingaw ko sa isa ka episode where naglearn ug secret language ang preppers para sila ra ang makasabot. And do you know unsa na language ila gilearn? FILIPINO hahahahaha![]()
you may add ham radio to your list
