Bantayan Island is a beach that Cebu is boasting about to compete with Boracay. Once you are in Cebu as a tourist, going to and back to Bantayan for 3k is reasonable compared to 8k for boracay, and you get the same quality of sand and relaxation. Why not patronize this instead of shooting it down as expensive? Yes, land trip + boat trip is an option, but is it as convenient? If we are fixated with the cost, then you will never truly appreciate the benefits of higher priced objects/ service. I expected more from Cebuanos. This is an option and opportunity to increase tourism where it was not there before.
