Ang naka bahong tiktik ani tanan kay gipa macro etching ni namo sa PNP and it checked out - dili daw carnap... two years later PNP Manila maoy nidakop namo saying now na carnap daw! I smell a stinkin' rat!

2 weeks ago, the same thing happened to a friend of mine. ang problema lang sa ilaha wala nila napa macro etch before buying.

@tackie: do you have the clearance from PNP when you macro-etched it before buying?

this is not the right way to check if the car is clean. totally wrong. what you get here are current records only. that's it.

the best way is to go to PNP beside CIC. have it macro-etched. have the serials run sa ila database. this way manggawas tanan previous owners starting from the casa. then secure a clearance from them. that way, whatever happens in the future, you have this clearance and you can point to PNP.

macro-etching is a procedure where the car's serial nos. are checked whether it has been tampered or not.

a tampered serial # can never be detected through LTO records. usahay maka lusot man gani sa etching if the whole firewall sa car gi-ilisan sa mga karaho.
