All Residential and Business Accounts are already given a ethernet type router/modem, so all new subscribers are given these types of modem, if long time Globe Broadband user ka pwede man ka mo request ug modem/router upgrade to a ethernet type of modem/router  by the way globe is using these types of router, the Alcatel Speedtouch 511e a.k.a. the big dark green modem/router and the Proline Hurricane 9000P all of these are router/modems capable of connecting directly to your switch/hub network just set dhcp para ma hatagan ug internal ip ang tanan nimong computer sa network then just point your gateway and dhcp settings to the router ip then boom...naa na tanan internet.
As for the dsl filter it looks something like thisit has two slots one going to your phone/fax machine..etc. the other goes to your modem/router it helps filter out any extraneous noise nga mo adto sa imong dsl modem which causes disconnects but only if theres any noise kung deadball ang authentication server no joy gihapon

@dexfranco: ah...ok... wala ko ana kay.. data only ra man ni ako.. (i think) .. pero naa gyud sumtimes nga ma disconnect.. for pila ka seconds.. then naa sad usahay connected iyang status.. pero wala d i..![]()
@MegaCool <----- f ever dayun kag pa subscribe sa Globelines GLBB ako lai kontaka, PM me or mail me ug attach lang ang sketch sa imong location sa : epd_1268@yahoo.com :mrgreen:Originally Posted by MegaCool
this should explain why you sometimes get disconnected, it may be because of extraneous noises bleeding into the dsl frequency range.
I'm using the hurricane 9000P adsl status to get this results, as you can see zero error seconds siya.

MegaCool: ok ra sila ana ron tungod gi hinay hinay na nila ug face out ang usb only modem, cause ang hurricane 9000p naay both usb and rj45 port.
wendellmb: you can see on the tab sa left side where ingon siya virtual server mao na ang port forwarding function sa hurricane imong i set diha ang source port, destination port, ug destination ip address para maka receive ang imong individual computers. U can find what port an application kinahanglan sa www.portforward.com usually mga P2P nga application ang mag lisod ani like Shareaza, Bearshear, Kazaa, etc.
Pagka faeth sad diai aning uban, reklamo nga hinai kuno ilang DSL/Broadband. Naunsa nga Residential ang subs package unya gigamit diai ug Icafe (10 units plus).... hahahaiiiii
na benchmark nako ang residential kaya niya mga 3 units using QoS (Quality of Service) function sa router para ma tagaan ug priority ang what type of application. Like priority first is Web Browsing then Instant Messengers, then VOIP etc.... so at least dili ma hakog tanan example sa downloading or sa webcam.sensitive topic baya na webcam ron
