My 35mm Rankings:

1. Contax
This camera brand uses Carl Zeiss lenses, which is the best in the world!!! I would put this on top of my list any day for Simplicity... very solid body like a tank.. quality is just so perfect with CZs.. I love the ergonomics... overall, it is the best 35mm system..

2. Canon
Second in the my list not because of their body.. not of because of their L lenses.. not because theyre cool... and Canon photographers are Cool!... but because Canon's have thoughts for the professionals... they always have compromise... nice body with nice lenses for not so expensive price tag.. compare it to Leica or CZs...

3. Nikon
I am a Nikon user and I love Nikon... their bodies are legendary... but I would only rank it 3rd because they don't have compromises to their lenses.. (yet, maybe)... For bodies.. Nikon's are the best.. Solid.. best in ergonomics.. amazing AF... (I am talking F6 by the way.. ) ... I would rank it number one to beat Contax if they can produce L caliber lenses or something comparable to Leica's and CZs..


For Medium Formats... the best of the best... one of my toys.. Contax 645...!!! No Hassys.. and Mamiya?? (yikes!)... hahaha..

its not a canon-nikon thing man cguro. its just bati gyud ug service ang canon PERIOD!

im a canon user ... unfortunately ... tinuoray nga dili gyud maayo ug service ang canon. ika duha na nako gipaayo ako cam sa ila ... same prob ... wala gyud maayo. two years pa. 30D. tsk tsk tsk. abtan pa gyud ug upat ka bulan sa first admission sa ospital. ang ikaduha mga two months ... hahaaaayyyy ... may pa cguro nag nikon na lang ko. unsaon ta man nga nasugdan na man ang litni nga canon. eniweys ... s#$% happens!

and john grisham uses a MAC! (and the built in wordprocessor with it! hehehe)

turn around time should improve now that canon repair center is in cebu (gallery mabolo)
naa gyud sila full time technician and mga hiraminta...as long as parts are available lang dali nalang kaayo. same day service is now possible

I went Canon because it is more practical for me to just send my camera to the local service center instead of sending it directly to Manila... plus the usual free sensor and lens cleaning that they give out from time to time...

Mura ranig lalis sa INTEL and AMD. Usahay maka una ang intel; usahay maka una ang amd. pero in the end, patas ra and ang end users ang maka take advantage tungod better products ang ila ihatag nato tungod sa competition.

OT na bro i know the bigatins are keeping an eye on this thread..lemme just say

pero lahi ang lalis sa AMD ug sa Intel..
there is in no way that AMD can beat Intel.. that is a known fact..
but some there are still some people who prefer AMD for lots of reasons..

theyre cheapER than Intel
they can level somewhat on performance
but it is also a given that Intel definitely has better quality products
and Intel processors do not heat up like crazy as opposed to AMD stuff..

a lot of gamers prefer their processors AMD because that is the trend..
gaming rigs are just built with AMDs because it's practical and sensible..

if you put in an Intel, it would be twice as durable...

wala nanira ang intel..they just closed down some of their factories and laid off a lot
of workers because people were just not spending anymore..
if they were, they would opt for cheaper stuff.. igo sila sa global economic crisis..
a sad thing for them but the respect is still with them..

they did only the greater good.
rather than make bad quality products,
mao nlng ila gi lay off ang mga peepz.. sad but true..

i hear more recalls on the AMD manufacturers.. i think...

anyway, Canon jud as in..
miski unsaon..
guapo kaau ang color.. miski walay edit2x kay d ko kamao mu edit..
i can print right off from my memory card at any Kodak store anang tag 15 pesos lang
then 4 kabuok cute size photos and enjoy really good pictures..
from a feeling photographer like me.. hehe.. with a really great camera..

my friend owned a nikon and... wala lang..wala nako gi pa print and pics..
and to think, my friend is an amateur beginner photographer in fairness...

canon.. definitely better color in our pictures.. i dnt know if you guys have noticed that...
